8 is already the discount, given that 9 is the base price. This is for the fireball spell, correct?

That's correct - so there'll likely be some kind of limitation or time limit placed on the communication item.
The general gist is that items from vouchers are meant to be permanent or longer lasting - but the coupons are temporary.

You can request something in mind for the coupon, and if it's too powerful, there will probably be an assigned limit on it.

Honestly, not really. I'd considered getting something that would allow for secure communication, so our messages can't be spied on, but that would be better suited to something long-term. Not much use if it'll be gone by Friday.
So the other options are to think of limitations to these phones we'd want to bypass, like the inability to communicate on Thursdays.
