In a way, yes. But it depends as well. Sometimes in an isekai, a person retains their full personality and simply makes choices as that character. Other times, their memories and personalities will merge with the character they're inhabiting. In my case, where I'm originally from, I was the latter. But as Viola, I was overwritten and instead had to act only as her, which was very frustrating.
I do miss electricity... But I think there are things I need to do in my second life - as Iris. Returning to my first world isn't an option for me anyway.
