FALL COMMON ROOM - WEEK 2

The common room of the Fall Dorm has soft, dimmer lighting; plush carpet over wood; and several comfortable chairs and sectionals. A few big windows overlook the dormitory area of campus, but there is also a single, cozy bay window on one side.

A television and bluetooth surround-sound are here for Fall students who are more inclined to be tech savvy. In the cabinets under the entertainment stand are an assortment of board games, but the television does have a generic "free tv" app for shows and music.

Above the enormous center fireplace is a moody painting.

This week, there's something else.

specialty room.

Through a door on the first floor, there is an antigravity room. Stepping just a few feet through the doorway will lift everyone up into the air. The seating and most of the rest of the room remains somehow rightfully in place on the floor and will not move. Students, however, can grab pillows and blankets, cups or bowls, or other small items to bring into the air with them.

Yeah. I don't know exactly how. Chad said all of the dorm heads received the paper but he called it nonsensical. So it's likely they still don't think anything's wrong.

It is somewhat nostalgic.

Seems that way. I can write up the whole thing later probably if people don't want their own copy. Or I can read it out loud, I guess. But you get the main point of it.

First it was the clowns that shot people, and now this. [so yes.]

...didn't find any cables though. I looked yesterday.

[there she go. he's watching this baby with her zoomies, but...he does laugh a little.]

Typical cat behavior. She's cute. [he might have a cat bias.]

You have to keep changing it to make sure people tune in every week. Like a cliffhanger. "Will they figure out what's going on? Tune in to find out!"

If we are the expanded cast... Perhaps it is because we were a last minute addition that we retain knowledge of our homes.

If we are still under the theory that they, too, are not truly from here. [ which, given that this world is apparently fake and the places they came from don't even have names. seems plausible. ]

What? Why me? You can plan just as good as I can.

...not necessarily. Not if they're supposed to think everything's normal and someone hypnotized them or brainwashed them into thinking this is all true.

...I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing either. Especially when we're all pretty far from where we're supposed to be.

Mhmm. She is still a kitten technically, so she is very playful. And cute.

That's a good point. We didn't have time to be immersed in whatever genre this is supposed to be. But then you have people like Catra or Mandricardo that were acting weird last week. Like rewriting their characters.

...I'm getting the idea that they're not since everything is pretty vague. But who knows? I don't want to freak them out by telling them they're living a lie, but we should keep an eye on them to make sure they're okay.

...so a kade is controlling them.

[He suddenly looks more serious, and he nods.]

Alright. We'll hunt down the kade and kill it and free them.

Every distraction leaves me feeling torn. We would not survive, remaining high-tension non-stop. It's nice to have something like this.

But it is distraction.

The more we interact with them, the less I feel myself able to blame and distrust them for all of this, anyway.

I agree. We should look after them. But - carefully.
