An easily accessible room with four simple cots, an examination table with crinkly paper, and locked cabinets of medical supplies. The walls have been painted a helpful shade of calming blue, but there is still the lingering industrial feeling built into the floors and fluorescent lighting. Two of the cots are beside the windows, and patients can look outside over campus. However students will find that they cannot take anything besides small fixes such as single packs of Hello Kitty bandaids or baby aspirin. If you're not sure if something can be swiped, ask the mods!
Student Union Building
Deemed the SUB building by most students, the first floor is a designated mail and social place for students to sit. The front section of the SUB is the student mailroom. A hundred or more tiny mailboxes line the walls, belonging to each enrolled on-campus student.
The second floor of the SUB has a small concession stand manned by a student worker, selling things like nachos and cheese, corn dogs, or hotdogs, and drinks from 1 PM to 4PM. The concession stand sells alcohol from 8PM-10PM, but only to students eighteen or older with their IDs. A large flatscreen television offers background entertainment for the dining area, and a pool table is set up on the other end of the room. A row of old arcade machines are against the wall nearby, and beside it in the corner is a small purikura-like photobooth.
On the third floor is a bowling alley, lights dim and accents lit up neon and moody. The bowling shoes glow in the dark under the black lights. Sometimes, itās a little difficult to hear over the music inside. In an area in front of the alleys is a space with ping pong and air hockey tables.
Library
A two-story, cozy building with an elevator, perfect for studying and reading. The bottom floor has modern, shallow carpet and a lot of seating. There are big tables for more space or group work, little desk nooks shielded on both sides by dividers for private studying, and couches or chairs galore. The circulation desk is here with a librarian, a space for returned books, and another space for self check out. Through a door near the entrance is another large room with a computer lab which can only be rented out by a teacher and class. Not to worry, back in the main area, there are additional rows of computers for students; half of them are Windows desktops, and the other half are Mac desktops.
At the back is a large conference room with table and seating, a smart whiteboard, a television, and a projector hook-up. It can be rented out by students and teachers.
Also on the ground floor is a mini Moonbucks cafe. However, the only drink on the menu is hot cocoa, with nothing caffeinated available. Drinks can be requested in a to-go cup, as there is no seating inside the cafe. There are baskets of snacks for purchase, and a vending machine with water and sodas.
The second floor is filled almost wall to wall with shelves of books broken down by the Dewey system, or authorās last name. A card catalog computer waits at the landing of the stairs, and also by the elevator for easy referencing. Three study rooms line the back wall; they can be rented out by students. The Writing Center is here as well, manned by tired, often manic English majors who are always having some drawn-out literary discussion as a student comes in for an appointment.
