Figured it was probably better to send this to you, as the brains of the operation. (As long as you’re not still bleeding? Those field trips suck, I can say that now. Stop going on them.) If you’re feeling crap, maybe hand this over to Kainé to read aloud or something. (Sorry, Kainé.) Or, hell I don’t know. An adult? Dimitri? Don’t be stubborn about it.
Pretty sure you’ve heard a lot of what’s going on here from Lila. We found a train, the voice is getting rude, the bear has STILL somehow not found all his keys, blah blah blah. And the whole part about us having to kill the villains to go home, as it’s our only way back.
I also heard you had a run in with Vio on … Sunday as well, I think? And I’m pretty sure it was you? Either way, I figure it’s best this goes to you. Iris seems fairly convinced this place is trying to regain control over them to make them the villains. It makes sense, but I’m not sure we have enough evidence to say for sure. Still, it’s worrying.
I’m not going to tip-toe around the topic here: she told me to kill her before she can hurt anyone, if it comes to that. I got her to agree that we’re going to do anything we can to stop that from happening, and it would be a last resort, but that’s what we’re working with here. And, before you ask, yeah I did agree. I don’t want to. Of course I don’t fucking want to. But I’m not enough of an ass to put my wants above something that clearly terrifies her. And the thought of being forced to hurt us does scare her. So here’s my pre-warning to you all — if we’re going to pull off a third path here, we’d better start hustling, and hustling hard.
We may still have our wishes too. If it comes to that. Not sure if I think this place is being shitty or sincere when it tells us we could pull off a sequel, but I’ve been around wide eyed idealists for so long at this point that I don’t think it’s impossible to try. I have enough faith in Class VII to fix what they have to back home, so I probably have a wish to burn at the end of all this.
