SUMMER COMMON ROOM - WEEK 0

common room.
The common room is as bright and open as the rest of the dorm. Beanbag chairs and even more hammocks are situated around for any of your resting needs, because who needs couches? There are a few blankets on the couch just for comfort, but the temperature is never cold enough to need them because of chill. There's also an absurd amount of pillows.
The walls are decorated with paintings that are either modern art pieces or done by kindergarteners. There are also photographs tacked onto the walls as well, of seemingly random things like a vase of flowers, a mailbox, a bird on a tree branch. The photos are less about grand views and feels more like someone testing out a camera.
On a table is a welcome basket.
specialty room.
In the common room, there's a door that leads to what can only be described as an Occult Room for some strange reason. Unlike the rest of the dorm, this room is dimly lit and is crowded with itemsāa skeleton that may or may not be real, taxidermy animals, really creepy looking dolls, an actual coffin, etc. On a table to the side is a Ouija board, a few tarot decks, and crystal ball.
Please use this as an open post for members of Summer Dorm. You may post top-levels whenever you'd like and go wild. A new post will go up at the start of each week.

[Still, Mandricardo isn't moving just yet because. YEAH. WHAT WAS THAT.]

[THIS JUST SEEMS. Very Futile]
no subject
What is this?! I knew there was something wrong with this place. . .!
no subject
[Mandricardo lets out a breath he doesn't know he was holding. After a moment, his eyebrows furrow.]
...You felt it, too, tight? That weird sensation making us return.
no subject
Yeah, and that's what's got me so angry.
[angry, and. . . perhaps a bit scared? brainwashing is an unfortunate trigger!! but she isn't about to say that aloud]
The only reason someone would force us to be here so they could lock us in was because they have something terrible planned for us.
no subject
[Like nobody FORCES people to do a good thing.]
...We need to be prepared. I don't know if it means something will happen tonight or tomorrow, but...
no subject
. . .
I'll guard the door.
[just in case??]
We'll need others to watch the windows. We can't let anything in.

[that works for her! and then harshly, mostly to herself, but loud enough for Mandricardo to hear--]
If anything happens to Adora--
no subject
[He makes as if to clasp her shoulder, but lets his hand fall back to his side.]
Don't worry. As soon as these doors open...you can go find her.
no subject
I will. I plan on it. But I wonder if I can--
[and then she takes out her phone]
no subject
Oh! Right...texting. Maybe it will work.
no subject
[anyway give her a moment she is now furiously typing on her phone]
no subject
Any reply?
no subject
No. They won't even send. What is wrong with this stupid thing--?!
no subject
[THIS DOES NOT DO ANY GOOD FOR HIS NERVES...]
So we're cut off by phone, too...?
no subject
[great. great!! get it together Catra, you've been in worse situations]
And I can't contact Sally, either.
no subject
Ah...are we going to die...?
[GLOOMINESS SETTING IN]
no subject
[she is SO quick to say that, because fuck dying!! nobody is dying here!!]
Don't tell me you're the type to give up that quickly, just because things look bad for us.
no subject
[The pessimistic type, but that sounds BAD so he just shakes his head.]
No, I'll pull myself together. I can't slack off like this.
no subject
[it sounds harsh (because it is), but at the same time, in Catra's mind there's no room for doubt or hesitancy]
So make sure to keep it together until the danger has passed. Okay?
no subject
I will. [And for some reason he's glancing at Byleth?] That's my duty.
