I don't mean that we should just lie over passively. But if you know it's a possibility, then you might as well prepare your heart for it. Then, you'll be able to handle it if it occurs, rather than break down.

There probably isn't a general answer for something like that. How people respond will depend on their own life experiences, so what works for one might not work for another.
Figure out what are things you need to live and what you could move on without. You don't have to settle, and it's fine to be greedy. But it helps to be self-aware enough to know how you'll react to loss, as it's inevitably a part of living.
...i don't see how that can't be applicable to everybody but i get what you're saying we all have to pick and choose sometimes don't we? this school still has things we've gained and lost. so..it's a thought
It's not something a lot of people will want to do, and not everyone will find it simple to do within a short timeframe. In the end, what you've gained and what you've lost can sometimes be mind over matter.
uh considering people care about you and also you're a dorm head, no, killing yourself wouldn't go over that well and if something happens to you i doubt it'd be that easy anyway
...i've been thinking about trying to talk to it. the story, i mean. see if it's open to negotiation or anything. it clearly wants to talk to us, so maybe we can figure out what it really wants to do
