People are remarkably capable of working remotely - but staff have limited access to the building. It's just not open to all students for safety reasons at the moment.

It simply led to some minor rooming adjustments. A very, very small price to pay in favor of letting her reunite with her friend, and enjoy the company of the others.

I love it when people are happy, and this seemed like a job that would best allow me to be able to create those conditions. I think that school can be a very nerve-wracking place, full of social pressures and fears, so... I thought if I could be in charge of a dorm, I could help create a home for people.
There are also things like being able to live on campus, having it look good on a resume - but if I'm to be honest with myself, it's more for the first reason.

But I went into political science for many reasons. One of them would be to try to create better systems and situations for people, yes. I have many goals and ideals! This is simply the path I chose to make them come true.

No... Not quite. I'm confident, but I don't think I could build a utopia. I still have more to learn. But if I were to have a pocket universe - there's a separate project I would like to try. I'm still building the idea in my head...
But it would be something like a sanctuary. A place where those without means - especially children - do not have to worry about going hungry, or not having a roof over their head. Maybe they can learn to read if they don't know how, or recover their strength if they're ill.
I still need to think about the specifics, and of course I'd negotiate with whoever else wins Dorm Wars with me... but that's my current blueprint.

One might wonder where I have the audacity, but when you see people suffering, don't you want to think of ways to help them? Or at least, that's what comes to mind for me... though I know I still have to be careful of just how grand my dreams get.

Well, I suppose you could put it into consideration in the application - but it's not binding. Luke's been in attendance at this school since he was small, so I hope he's not held to whatever he or his guardians put in his application when he could barely walk. But ultimately school is meant for people to learn and grow, so the wish will be decided upon graduation.
I'm tired of people getting hurt, so yeah. Of course I do. [immediately.] ...I've been told it's important to dream big though.
