[good. if he can at least make riku feel a little more at ease then...he's doing what he wanted to do in the first place. taichi's not always great at talking to people and understanding how they feel about things, but he is good at distractions and getting to the point of things.
that's enough.]
All the more reason we're gonna find a way out and make this whole place sorry it ever messed with us, right?
[That gets him to crack a smirk. Very Sora energy.]
Right. Just... be careful. I'm willing to fight to get out of here, but I don't want to hurt any more of our friends unexpectedly. I... don't want this place to do it.
It doesn't have a right. If they're going to die, it should be... us... if it's true they're trying to save them.
...I agree with you, even if I'm not sure how many people would agree, too. It shouldn't have to come to a choice like this but I think most people would prefer being saved than being killed by an entity that might be lurking around and possessing people and representing this world.
[He exhales lightly, something like relief. Or maybe reassurance.]
I know. I don't think a lot agree. I don't... blame them. But I am worried now about something dangerous happening if we put up a lot of resistance. Not without knowing a little more.
So what, we keep playing along and tricking it into thinking we're not on to it? The only problem with that is that it might mean we miss something else entirely, too.
So how do we find a balance? That's the question I keep coming back to.
I feel like we've been looking and we're just not seeing things right. That's why I asked about my goggles a while ago. I was hoping I could see anything hidden that we weren't able to notice on our own. Even if it's not digital distortions, maybe something like...hidden messages in the documents, hints at the buildings under construction, anything that might give us direction.
Right now it feels like we're going in too many without a real path.
You keep thinking we've missed something, but maybe you don't need it because it isn't you missed it completely. We just haven't been able to put what we already can see together.
Everything is... a lot. So it's difficult to see things from the right perspective.
this really does highlight everything in his life. "the more i see, the less i understand."
it's kind of tiring, but giving up now isn't exactly an option either.]
...yeah. Maybe. [he's looking over the paper in his hand again.] All I'm worried about more than anything is not seeing it from the right perspective until it's too late. But somebody'll figure something out, and then we'll work together and fix it.
[He peers at Taichi for a long moment, not sure what to say to reassure. He's not the best one for that really (he thinks). Sora is the one who always knows what to say and when to say it.]
Right.
[He knows it feels just as suffocating for Taichi as it does for him. "We'll figure it out," over and over, and, "We'll do it," over and over as nothing falls in their hands.
He nudges Taichi's foot.]
I'll tell you what I told Yamato: You'll always be exactly where you should be. It might take forever to get there, so long you think you won't ever be. It might be the hardest thing you've ever done. You might be alone, too.
But in the end, you'll be where you're meant to be. We all will. Destinies, right?
We don't want to be here, I get it. I don't. But... maybe we are for a reason. We're here together, and at the end, when we come out of it, however we come out of it, that's how it supposed to happen.
no subject
Sorry about what?
[He's TEASING. But he shrugs one shoulder a little.]
It's fine. I try not to pry too much. But... I listen in a bit more than I did before just... to be sure.
no subject
...considering how often people disappear and the things that happen, I don't blame you. Some of us probably need to be watched more than others.
[you know. like futaba. or lalli. or definitely people not him.]
no subject
[He is absolutely not letting Taichi get away with that. But he also has no leg to stand on when it comes to being Fucking Stupid.
Nevermind that.]
no subject
[no one should because everyone in this dorm is a disaster, and yet. here he is. fighting for that.]
no subject
[It's a teasing sure. He believes Taichi is strong, but probably does some stupid shit sometimes that turns out bad. Like, uh, the rest of them.]
no subject
...let us take care of you sometimes though. Just a reminder.
no subject
...I know.
no subject
Is that "I know" as in "I know if I say this you'll shut up" or "I know and I'll do my best to try"?
no subject
...Both maybe.

I ask for help. I don't know why the rest of you are here.

I'm serious. Don't be rude.

[He smirks a bit before it fades. The bickering is playful, so it does a good deal to sort of lighten his mood a little.]

[He frowns.]
We'll have to just get better at looking.

Seems like a solid plan, right?

Right.
