chad stares at the baggie for a moment, before sighing.]

[her expression softens when she sees the photo, but she doesn't comment on it while she's over there-- just leaves the cookies and goes to sit.]

I do think both could be useful, but I feel strengthening it would be the better starting point.

Hm. Is there a particular benchmark you're aiming for, or a number of vouchers you're willing to use?

Not in specific, no. I know it won't be up to its old self, but it would help if it were more resilient-- I asked Beauregard to test it and she was able to break it a bit early, so if it could be made more reliable, that would be useful as well.

To make it so that it can constantly withstand non-lethal attacks for the full duration, that would cost four vouchers. For upgrades, the price can't be adjusted.

Just-- out of curiosity. You asked for a particular benchmark. What would you call the upper limit? This, or something else?

Hm... I don't think you could upgrade it to the point where it would be completely unbreakable, no matter the attack. So, somewhere below that.

I'll consider it, then, but for now I think just making sure it lasts the duration would be a good starting point.

[she considers a moment, before she continues.]

Just so I know for later, how far do you think the time between uses could be reduced? Half a day, not quite that much?

Half a day is probably the absolute lowest, for powers that normally require 24 hours between use.

And what would we be looking at for that?

Six or higher, most likely. Don't take that as an exact quote just yet.

You don't have to quote me on this if it is possible, but I've been wondering. It was mentioned we could try to make exchanges for information-- is there any chance we could manage to get a better idea of just how vouchers are obtained, because if I'm being honest with you, Chad, the math is a pain in our asses at the moment.
