He's bathed, which is wonderful progress. Though from what I understand it's only because he was badgered into it. Still, I think that's good.
[a beat]
He also seeks me out now, sometimes, instead of just accidentally messaging me in the middle of the night. Though sometimes he also does it just to be a little mean-spirited...
[her tone is light - amused, if anything. a touch fond.]
The fact that he'll even try to find me is enough. I'm taking it to mean that I'm not the worst person in the world to him - so I can take a little taunting. I'm not easily intimidated.
I don't think it would be outside the realm of possibility, but it would have to be rather limited and expensive... I don't know if we'd be able to accept exchanges for that just yet.
I'll have to be more mindful about privacy - please do not mention to him that I've revealed part of our discussion. While you are his teacher, I want to be respectful of his affairs.
Let's revisit the topic when I'm able to promise that type of exchange - I don't know if that's something in my power at the moment, so I'd hate to give you false hope or incorrect information.
So I'll tell you because I don't like kind people making poor deals. Often times, a base price exists for an item. I'll use an example of... Oh - a First Aid Kit, which is normally 10 Vouchers. All Dorm Heads can add or subtract two from any price, so it can cost as little as 8 Vouchers, or as much as 12.
Now, Dorm Heads have an incentive to get as many Vouchers as possible as they translate to points for our Dorm. So I love to do a little haggling, even with those not from my Dorm. But it's also my personal code to give full discounts to health and safety items, or sentimental items. I don't like keeping those things from people - but exchanges are required. Nothing can be free, even if an item is normally 2 Vouchers, it can only be decreased down to 1.
So make sure you get a good deal when you haggle. [there's a smile to her voice] I try to make sure that no one ever regrets an exchange with me, at least. That's part of my pride, too.
I like to play games - but I think they're much less fun if other people don't know the rules. So should you need anything in the future, I hope you remember me.
There's something I'd like to do if I win Dorm Wars - so I will do my best to earn it.

You could - but I'm afraid that would be taking some of my duties away from me. I'd hate to shirk from my responsibilities like that.

You seem responsible enough...
[she looks a little let down, though. maybe she wanted to try wearing it...?
anyway, she's walking with viola, now!!]
Have you spoken with Dimitri much?
How is he doing?
[teacher conference...???]

but that question manages to get her to laugh]

I hope you won't take it personally...

Thank you, Viola.
[!]
I'm sorry that I only seem to speak about Dimitri to you.
no subject
[arguably why she worries after him so much too]
But I'm happy to talk with you about anything at all.
no subject
I... wanted to ask you about how much something would cost.
no subject
[softly - because it's a little hard to not notice the hesitation]
But of course - what are you looking to purchase?

Is there anything that exists that could tell me when someone is attacking?

viola is very nice...]
It would be for Dimitri, not me.
no subject
It's good of you two work together.
no subject
He asked for himself, as well?
[that's... incredible news.]

... so you did not coordinate...
[hm]

But... I would like to coordinate with him for it. Oh...
[she's trying to figure it out.]
...Howevermuch it costs, you could tell him the price minus all the vouchers I'm able to submit.

At the moment, you can only exchange vouchers for simpler things—is that correct?
no subject
[a beat]
Byleth, how much do you know about the Voucher Exchange system?
no subject
[she admits that much, at least.]
I can ask the dormitory leaders to exchange them for things.
[...]
Do you all specialize differently...?

Thank you.
[and she genuinely means it.]
You've been nothing but helpful to me. I truly appreciate it.
