Covered in bites? I asked if you were unhurt. Have you treated them? As for the rest - how could that be... You did not wake at all?
[this is a possum of a man but he's hers until he moves]
At the very least, I do not consider myself an obtuse person. You must think it ridiculous that I know so little, and still remain unable to meet you all and give answers more straightforwardly. .... In truth, I cannot blame anyone for their suspicion or distrust.
They are just goose and squirrel bites. [ not serious injuries from his perspective? which should make it obvious the answer obvious that he's done the bare minimum to take care of them. ] Still, they should have roused me when it was happening. I did not wake. And it does not make sense with where I was, or the other damage there.
[ he's just kind of thinking aloud at her at this point. it's all pretty confusing even after he's had some days to dwell on it. ]
I am not going to comfort you on your inadequacies. But they are shared amongst us all at this point. [ it's not like he's expecting her to trust him, either. ]
[viola just becomes dimitri's text to speech diary]
Please see to your bites before they become infected. That is bizarre - the geese are brazen creatures, but they shouldn't head to the classrooms unprompted like that. Did you speak to Sieghart if he experienced anything similar or if the two of you possessed anything else in common?
Dimitri, you are the last person I would come to for comfort. Please give me your scathing honesty over kind words. I'd prefer it. Empty reassurances do nothing for anyone. I merely mean to express that I am sorry I cannot ask you to trust me in good faith. Though I also don't intend to give up on searching for satisfactory answers.
We both experienced the same lack of memory and the same wounds, but otherwise have seemingly no connection. We did not end up in the same place. We are not of the same house. We have conducted ourselves entirely differently here. We share no enemies.
[ aka sieg has gone to class and hung out in his dorm. you know, like a normal person.
anyway, viola is reacting much too kindly to him being a possum, but at least they're holding a conversation. he doesn't have faith in (practically) anyone—but he can use others. they can use him. ...that's all this is.
he won't ask her to believe in him, and it doesn't sound like she really expects him to trust her yet, either. ]
I spoke to Kaoruko and still have more questions than answers. They will not be easy to hunt down.
No similarities and yet you were still outside? No one else? Thus that leaves that four people were outside on Thursday: yourself, Sieghart, Hiyori, and Kaoruko. But for what purpose would you and Sieghart be outside, unawakened, and no one else?
What did she say to you? From what I understand, the trial format will only arise in the case of another murder - it is a tradition dating back to the founding of the academy due to an incident. Expulsion is similar. Thus the simplest way to prevent such a disquieting thing from happening again would be to prevent the murder of another student.
And why also was everyone else asleep in the first place? There appeared to be an incident where I was, but I do not remember causing it myself. Neither Sieghart nor I recall leaving the dormitories.
[ he's just a crazy man talking theories to his phone now ]
She told us that she came upon Sieghart while she was out committing her crime. And that she did not know anything about either of us. I
[ ... ]
I do not trust her, but those at death's door rarely lie.
Has this happened before? The timing with these Dorm Wars of yours strikes me as no coincidence.
Right... The Dorm Heads also retired to our dormitories that night, but I did not think it odd given the hour. Though my mirror is broken - that happened at some point during the weekend, though I do not recall when.
You seem so certain that she's dead as well - from what I understand, she's been expelled.
'This' in terms of the trial and expulsion together? No, not in recent memory. It may only have to do with the incident that happened around the founding of the instution. I thought that I knew the history of it well, but it appears there was more that my studies did not reveal. But it has been brought to my attention that there may be a series of coincidences that are aligning. I've been taking them into consideration - but deciphering the 'why' is key, I think. It is simple to take isolated incidents and assume there is no relation, it is harder to test and prove connection.
Much of the weekend is hard for me to remember. In truth, it is not the first time I have collapsed - I think the fall must have gotten my mirror to break as well. But Kainé told me you all heard noise coming from the third floor...
You are not incorrect - though I also consider myself a thorough person. It is odd for me to not have found this before, I think but... I will go through records available to me and look again. Would you care to know what I find?
[ but it's believable that she wouldn't remember either way. he'd considered that he might have walked to the classroom himself and simply could not recall it—that he could've been the one to throw the desk out the window. he could have killed hiyori, and not known it.
it turned out that wasn't the murderer, but the thought unnerves him all the same. it had sent him into a spiral that entire night—it scares him still. so he sets aside his resentment and his ire to answer, this once. ]

[ he frowns to himself a little with the way this conversation is starting to go. he doesn't answer the point on kaoruko's death. ]
History often has answers for the tragedies of the present. Connections can be found to those keen enough to look.

My mirror is still in disrepair, so that may have been it.
Then I will let you know what my search reveals.
I hope that you will do the same.
My hope is to find answers that are satisfactory to both of us.
Is there anything else you would like to bring up?
