I'll explain it the best way I can. Your magic will work the same, but you have to buy it with vouchers. You don't have it all at once. That's different than home, right?
You'll have to exchange vouchers for one thing at a time, and they're all separate. Either light, or illusions, or burning, or bursting, or a shield.
Depending on what it is, the price can be from 8 to 12 vouchers.
I suppose so. To summon the light and manipulate it for illusions or combat does take energy.
But my glow never did. It used to happen against my will, even. I learned to control it, but if it was just to create light without shape or effect, it required more focus than it did energy.

What do you want specifically? Tell me about it.

I usually have my glow. I can create light. Or illusions.
In combat I can throw it - use it to burn things and burst. Or to create a shield.

So something as simple as my glow would be 8 vouchers, then?

You'll see and feel the glow when you use me of the spells you get from exchanging vouchers.
But if it means that much to you to feel it, you can buy the glow. It won't do anything for you until you use more vouchers to get a spell.
If I were you, I'd exchange the vouchers for each spell. Illusion would be one. A shield would be separate. They each cost different amounts.

Even if it isn't useful for anything more than a light in the dark. It's mine.
I can work on getting the rest later.

I'll give it to you for 6.
It won't do anything for you except light up the area directly around you. If you try to throw it, it'll vanish.

Thank you, I appreciate it. I can't afford that yet, but I'll let you know when I can.

What do you make of what happened this weekend?

I don't know.
It's very difficult for us to trust anyone who isn't just an ordinary student like ourselves, right now.

Just saying.

Do you find it suspicious to want weapons and magic, when we've just seen two people killed?

I truly want to be sympathetic to you, and to trust you.

That doesn't have anything to do with us. I don't like that it happens, but sometimes people die at school because someone does something crazy.
