I understand. It's a difficult thing when one wishes to help, but everyone appears to be equally without grounds for a starting point to do so. It's also difficult to discover that something you thought knew well is not as it seemed. At least for us, we had no expectations or beliefs. Only suspicions and speculations.
But in such a situation, a strong determination will always do one good. If nothing else, it's heartening to hear that.
The suspicions and speculations pain me a bit as well, in truth - I wish I could have shown you all the fun and festive time that could be had on this campus. It truly can be a wonderful place. But now everyone's experiences are marred with this. It's frustrating - very nearly infuriating.
But your understanding is kind. Thank you. At the very least, I hope to try to build an understanding with all of you. I understand your doubt and your wariness of all of us... Trust is simply something that must be earned, then.
