FALL COMMON ROOM - WEEK 1

The common room of the Fall Dorm has soft, dimmer lighting; plush carpet over wood; and several comfortable chairs and sectionals. A few big windows overlook the dormitory area of campus, but there is also a single, cozy bay window on one side.

A television and bluetooth surround-sound are here for Fall students who are more inclined to be tech savvy. In the cabinets under the entertainment stand are an assortment of board games, but the television does have a generic "free tv" app for shows and music.

Above the enormous center fireplace is a moody painting.

This week, there's something else.

specialty room.

Through a door on the first floor, there is an antigravity room. Stepping just a few feet through the doorway will lift everyone up into the air. The seating and most of the rest of the room remains somehow rightfully in place on the floor and will not move. Students, however, can grab pillows and blankets, cups or bowls, or other small items to bring into the air with them.

[He brought the chicken for Bradley but he doesn't even want it. No one else seems to be eating.]

Fine. But he DID take our couch and needs to answer for it.

[Imagine if he asked something really bullying right now. Tell me how your mother died. No, but he sort of gets what Yamato was going for.]

Who is. . . the person here who is funniest to talk to.

I dare you to sign your name on the toilet seat.

He's pretty useful as a spider. [Hmm.] I think he likes being a cat best, but truth be told, I like him as a cat best. When I summoned him, I wanted - I had a picture in my head, of a cat I had when I was a boy, and there he was.

[Petting the good boy.]

It may not matter to him as much.

. . . That would qualify for me. Sounds a little like a romance story.

Good.

[As long as they agree.]

I... Is Futaba returning it to Chad? Has that matter been settled?

There's nothing romantic about it at all. He barges into my dreams and interrupts my sleep. It would be one thing if he used the lack of a language barrier those shared dreams have to say something important, but he always talks about nonsense.

What sort of things does he talk about?

[He's writing the romance novel in his head.]

[ hmmm. ]

Oh - I know! Who is your favorite person here? And they must be a person, you cannot answer "Kissa."

Yeah. West Country's got a fuckton of islands though. One of 'em is for weapon manufacturin'.

Not a concern of truth or dare.

Perhaps you sign with a code name?

[he WOULD eat it if he wasn't so recently covered in rotting meat.

I fear the only 'code name' I've ever had - the Lady of Luminosity - would not shroud who I am at all.

It's alright, I'll sign it. I can't pretend to be completely uninvolved in this mischief, anyway.

He kept talking about how he wanted a real bed and some privacy and how he hated sleeping on the ground. And he expected me to agree with that.

So... it's a nostalgia thing. I get it. [ idk if frumpkin is close enough to his corner angsting ass for pets but if he is he gets some, otherwise he just looks at him in thought ] I think he likes being a cat too. Easier for the pets.

[ he's decided this? anyway, a little sheepish as he realizes he got distracted; ]

Uh, truth, for my turn.

[He looks around the room at his options...]

...Yamato, probably. But the rest of you are really close, I don't dislike any of you.
