In the common room, the walls have been painted with photo-like pictures of forests and lakes, and spread across the ceiling is a depiction of the night sky. One wall is lined with bookcases, the books ranging from fiction to non-fiction as well used course textbooks. More bookcases have been used to section off one corner for a study area, with a desk and chair provided.

Elsewhere, there are a few couches and chairs, most seated around a coffee table and with throw blankets tossed over them if you need the extra warmth. On the table is a bowl of healthy and semi-healthy snacks, regularly stocked. (Nearby is a garbage can.)

This week, there is something else on the table.

Past an entrance in the common room, a mini coffeehouse has been set up, with express machines for those who just want their coffee now and slightly more advanced equipment for aficionados. It offers a variety of strength levels and flavors to accommodate tastes all across the spectrum, along with a teapot and packets of caffeinated and non-caffeinated tea for those who prefer a different drink. There's a sink if you want to use your own mug, but otherwise, disposable cups are provided for you to use.

Pasted on the wall by the coffee machines is a detailed but clear handwritten guide on how to use said machines, complete with illustrations. There are also cute little doodles of Spring Dorm residents using the machines and drinking coffee, though they look as though they were done by someone else.

[at some point, chad comes along this scene, learns of what has transpired in this dorm, and probably sighs very deeply. what the fuck is going on here.

later you may see him disappear into the third floor, where he remains for a long while, before reemerging with a sanitized toilet seat that he'll place in whichever bathroom is still missing one. i feel like i should specify that even though presumably you cannot recognize one toilet seat from another, this is not the original missing one. i don't want to live in a world where you think chad stole your toilet seats.

[Just sipping whiskey from his coffee to-go cup and watching Malik go fetch toilet seats off the lawn and Chad give us his ONLY TOILET SEAT where will he sit. He seems mostly amused about all of this. Apparently, toilet seats are kind of a luxury anyway?]

[ There is a couch in the common room again! Hooray!

It is not the same couch that went missing. It's a little scuffed, and there are leaves stuck to it here and there.

Claude is sleeping on this couch. ]

You know, I come from a world where things are a little different than here. These phone things are completely alien. There's many foods I haven't tried. But this place does have something that I consider to be, leaps and bounds away, the most incredible piece of intellectual achievement I've come across. Do you know what it is?

Toilets, by and large, are holes cut in a piece of wood. The splinters. Claude. Do you know what a difference a seat on the toilet makes? It's incredible. I was getting used to it. And like so many things in my short life, I wake to terrible disappointment when I find they've been taken from me. What in the world did you do?

[ Molly, he understands your pain. And when he opens his eyes, they're the eyes of a dead man. ]

I took their couch. [ ... ] Caiman helped me, and I told him I would return it but apparently he decided to rally the entire dorm before I had the chance.

[ Claude is not as amused. Mostly because he's been dragging a couch around campus. ]

So it would seem. Have you all been suffering?

Personally, I think it's Caiman's fault for waiting 5 minutes to sell me out. I did tell him I'd return it.

Mostly Chad I think. He had to give us his toilet seat. Now he's up there with that costume, struggling away.

Bet it's hard to use in that thing in the first place. Now there's no seat.

You know, something to consider. Caiman had to let Claude into Fall Dorm to let him steal the couch. That means someone on this side had to let them into our building.

Chad did? [ It's a good thing he's still half asleep or he'd just start laughing. ]

... What I want to know, is who stood by while they stole all our stuff.
