In the common room, the walls have been painted with photo-like pictures of forests and lakes, and spread across the ceiling is a depiction of the night sky. One wall is lined with bookcases, the books ranging from fiction to non-fiction as well used course textbooks. More bookcases have been used to section off one corner for a study area, with a desk and chair provided.

Elsewhere, there are a few couches and chairs, most seated around a coffee table and with throw blankets tossed over them if you need the extra warmth. On the table is a bowl of healthy and semi-healthy snacks, regularly stocked. (Nearby is a garbage can.)

This week, there is something else on the table.

Past an entrance in the common room, a mini coffeehouse has been set up, with express machines for those who just want their coffee now and slightly more advanced equipment for aficionados. It offers a variety of strength levels and flavors to accommodate tastes all across the spectrum, along with a teapot and packets of caffeinated and non-caffeinated tea for those who prefer a different drink. There's a sink if you want to use your own mug, but otherwise, disposable cups are provided for you to use.

Pasted on the wall by the coffee machines is a detailed but clear handwritten guide on how to use said machines, complete with illustrations. There are also cute little doodles of Spring Dorm residents using the machines and drinking coffee, though they look as though they were done by someone else.

[On the table is a stack of origami paper and a how-to book on the craft. Additionally, there are other arts & crafts supplies, the majority of them Halloween-coloured, though none of them can be removed from the dorm.

A handwritten note has also been left nearby.

Given that there were apparently issues with last week's snacks, I assumed no one wanted the risk of a repeat with treats.

If you're actually interested in Halloween decorations or pumpkin carving or any of those things, put in a request.

There are also a few bottles of alcohol (from the SUB, so nothing fancy. how did Chad get these when he's underage? who knows), with another note.

Don't make me regret this. However, I realize that last week wasn't great. Have someone with you if you haven't drunk before.

[Molly is just in the common room, making origami bats (I guess the how-to book has good picture instructions) and drinking something out of his custom mug. There's a suspicious open bottle of whiskey nearby. It's most definitely too early in the day for this.

Still if you come nearby to sit down, he'll offer out the bottle if you've got a cup? Join.]

Suppose a lot of you need supervision with this stuff? What do I know, I'm not your mother. Here.

I'd say most of this dorm does, but I think we know where not to expect responsibility here.

Common Room, Monday Night

[the school day is over, and while a good number of people happen to be hanging around the common room, rita looks up from her notebook and decides to speak up.]

[On Wednesday, cute origami Halloween decorations have now been left around the dorm.

On Wednesday night/by Thursday morning, a few things have gone missing from the dorm: one (1) couch, various fake plants safe for cats to eat, and the toilet seats.

Later (this is apparently officially Wednesday night), all of the stolen toilet seats but one are left on the lawn in front of Spring Dorm. (That is to say, one toilet seat is still missing. Also, "all but one" may in fact be just one.)]

It is not the same couch that went missing. It's a little scuffed, and there are leaves stuck to it here and there.

You know, I come from a world where things are a little different than here. These phone things are completely alien. There's many foods I haven't tried. But this place does have something that I consider to be, leaps and bounds away, the most incredible piece of intellectual achievement I've come across. Do you know what it is?

Toilets, by and large, are holes cut in a piece of wood. The splinters. Claude. Do you know what a difference a seat on the toilet makes? It's incredible. I was getting used to it. And like so many things in my short life, I wake to terrible disappointment when I find they've been taken from me. What in the world did you do?

Common Room, Friday Evening

We should probably all stay put right? Since there was a murder and we're gonna have to figure out what happened tomorrow.

[He takes a swig directly from a bottle of sake. It's fine don't worry about it.]

[After the expulsion, various books and objects around the Spring Dorm have been thrown around, and the Suite 1 bathroom mirror is now shattered.]

POST EXECUTION

[When you come back to the dorm frustrated and upset and see someone else has already had a tantrum, well, you know what? What's the point staying calm? This dorm is a disaster, what's the big deal if it's a little more???

He picks up one of the various thrown books and hurls it across the room before he apparently decides he's going to try and tip the shitty downgrade couch over.]

[ Claude has decided the panda head is his now, so the book just bounces off the plush. ]

NEW ROOMIE

[ Starting Sunday, there will be a new addition to the Spring dorm! It is a white wyvern (scaled down to the size of a dog and without the gear).

She's mostly outside chasing geese and squirrels, but it's too cold for her to sleep on the roof, so she will occasionally be chilling around the dorm, and will be sleeping inside in Suite 2.

No one is allowed to be mean to her. ]
