[ he's going to charge the phone, sweet and simple. once he gets it plugged in, he's going to see if he can get it to turn on right off the bat, or if he's going to have to wait.
that's not snow talking from experience about his old phone or anything. ]
[ It's near the barrel, yes. And it's a pistol. He will know that this gun belongs to him. It's loaded, but there's only two bullets in it. Does he:
> Shoot. > Sleep.
Meanwhile, the phone slowly turns on! So slowly. Kon will see the same texts from before, but he'll also see that he has missed 16 calls, all from the same number as before. Does he:
[ he's checking those texts and ignoring the calls, considering he has a feeling how that's going to go. looking for those texts from sakyou and nier, and whoever that third person was. ]
[ Bradley dreams of an amusement park. It's another family trip, and the other three are arguing about which ride to go onto next. Instead, he's focused on one of those tests of strength games nearby. It'll only take a minute to play, and he's sure the others won't have figured out where to go by the time he's back. He walks over to it. There's a man close by, and it seems like he's waiting for someone.
Bradley walks up to the game. He takes the hammer, and slams it against the bell. The other man looks over at the sound, and opens his mouth to comment. Bradley turns and smashes the man's face with the hammer. He does it again and again. And again and again and again and again and again. He does it until there's nothing left of his face.
Bradley is dreaming and it's a good dream.
The text from Sakyou reads: I apologize but I can't make it tomorrow. My house has become infested with bugs and I need to be here when the exterminator comes. Tell everyone I say hi.
The text from Tokidoki reads: see you at the bbq! I heard you were bringing cake? can't wait
The text from Nier seems to be several days old. Why aren't you checking your messages more reliably? It reads: We should confess about the mall.
[ looks like sakyou is still dealing with the bugs, huh. good.
he ignores nier, because he's not going to deal with the idea of confessing. if nier wants to take the fall for it, then that's fine - but he's not bringing the rest of them down. they'll make sure of that. ]
the cake didn't turn out the way it was supposed to, sorry. won't be bringing it. [ he responds to toki, sends that text, and then brings the phone up to scrub his face with his good hand.
... his good hand. ]
something's wrong, toki. don't come to the bbq. you're not supposed to be here.
Shit - shit. [ this isn't like amatsuki. even if he tries to press his right hand into something, he can't do it. there's no pinprick feeling to bring him back to reality, like when he had to escape from teiten, and there's no -
what's he so worried about? he'll replace his computer later. (he can't replace yoru.) he'll make a new cake, it's not like it'll be hard. (it's not the same anymore.) they'll go to the barbeque, just like they planned. (fuck, where are the others?)
sleep doesn't sound so bad. he'll see toki tomorrow. ]
[ Kon dreams that he's behind a wheel of a car. Bradley is asleep in the passenger seat, and Manwol and Alphinaud are in the back. He's tired, but he volunteered to do this leg of the road trip. He just has a few more miles to go before they can pull into the closest hotel. He'd wanted a motel, since it's cheaper, but Manwol refused. He knew she would, but he still had to try.
In the distance, he can see someone waving him down. At the side of the road is another car, smoke billowing from the engine. Kon almost couldn't see it against the darkness of the night. As he gets closer, he sees that it's a young woman. Kon smiles and waves back, before slamming his foot against the gas and redirecting the steering wheel so he rams right into her. She goes sailing over the hood and lands behind the car. Kon backs up and runs her over. Changes it back into drive, and goes forward to run her over. Back. Forward. Back. Forward. He smiles every time he feels the bump. The other three wake up from all the commotion and complain.

No, he's not going to shoot and waste precious ammo when he doesn't even know what he might need this for later.
If these are his only two choices... he'll sleep.]
