[Manwol yells, hypocritically -- but also they're running which is great, but where are they running? does it matter? the sun is too bright she's too disoriented to tell which house they're running towards, if at all.]
[ everything hurts. but that sort of means they're alive? so. maybe trying to keep it that way.
he doesn't hesitate to jump away from the garage door as it bangs and bows, running after bradley and towards alphinaud and manwol. doesn't matter where they're going, to be honest! hopefully it just doesn't loop the fuck around again. ]
Talk all you want as long as we're running in the same direction!
[ There's another scream, and the garage door is thrown out of the doorway. The creature moves outside, going after them, and it hisses at the light. But it still moves, scrambling after the four, the voices of all the people that makes up it body howling. They hear voices they recognize. Voices they love, and hate, all intermingled in a chorus.
A few things happen. The first is that the brightness intensifies even more, to the point where it'll be almost impossible to see where they're going. The second is that he creature's body jolts, and then, without any other warning, explodes.
Its pieces go flying-- the body parts, blood, gore, acid. It all goes sailing into the air and landing on everything in the immediate area. It's a good thing they can all see this and dodge it! Wait, no, never mind. ]
Well, that's acid exploding all over his backside. He has half a mind to throw his coat off like Bradley had, but between the volume of it and a desperate desire to run, it's probably more hassle than it's worth. The burn is a nigh agonizing one, but the coat is also at least the one thing between him and the... body parts and meat and whatever the hells is exploding five ways from Sunday.
"Awful" doesn't even begin to describe this moment. ]
He cannot see with the brightness turned to max. He can only barely hear, considering the sheer damage his ears have taken from the creature's shrieking in such an enclosed space.
There's nothing he can do to avoid the flying debris, the vomit, the meat, the acid.
The acid. It's starting to burn through his neck and clothing. All he can really commit to is continuing to run.]
[Manwol can't help cry out in disgust at the blood that splashes all over her, Carrie-lite, then she yelps at the acid that splashes across the back of her legs -- then she regrets both of those things, because now her tongue is coated with what she's definitely sure is blood.
something hits her in the back and she resists batting whatever the hell it is away, instead she runs, limping]
[ at a full run, kon has to catch himself before he trips when they get splattered with blood, acid, and guts. the screams are gone, at least, even if they were muffled, but now there's even more acid on his clothes and body. there's guts of the people they've killed in this fucked up pleasantville.
he regrets tearing off his haori, with a little less protection between him and the explosion. gritting through it, he closes his eyes against the blinding light and the pain.
keep going. if you're going through hell, keep going. ]
It's all they can focus on, how it burns, and how bright it is, and the smell of it all. But as they keep running, they'll all suddenly come to a stop... as they run into a bunch of trees. They blink, and they can see again.
Or, a little. They've run into what looks like woods, and the canopy seems to be blocking the harsh light from hitting them. While their vision will still be blurry and it'll be difficult to see properly, they're no longer completely blind. When they stop moving, they'll also notice somepapers and what looks to be a piece of a map on the ground. There's also four photographs in a pile next to them. If they look at the photos, they're all of the same thing-- a family picture of the four of them.
If they keep walking through the forest, they will eventually end up back on campus near the dorms. If they try to backtrack, they'll find that they can't leave campus again. And although they're all aware that it must have been some type of trick, it will feel like they did physically spend three days away. Their eyesight will also be sensitive until the end of the week. Even more, it'll still feel as if they committed every foul act with their own hands.
