The common room is as bright and open as the rest of the dorm. Beanbag chairs and even more hammocks are situated around for any of your resting needs, because who needs couches? There are a few blankets on the couch just for comfort, but the temperature is never cold enough to need them because of chill. There's also an absurd amount of pillows.

The walls are decorated with paintings that are either modern art pieces or done by kindergarteners. There are also photographs tacked onto the walls as well, of seemingly random things like a vase of flowers, a mailbox, a bird on a tree branch. The photos are less about grand views and feels more like someone testing out a camera.

On a table is a welcome basket.

In the common room, there's a door that leads to what can only be described as an Occult Room for some strange reason. Unlike the rest of the dorm, this room is dimly lit and is crowded with items—a skeleton that may or may not be real, taxidermy animals, really creepy looking dolls, an actual coffin, etc. On a table to the side is a Ouija board, a few tarot decks, and crystal ball.

[ Meanwhile, Mabel is utterly absorbed in her own gingerbread house activities: a slightly lopsided, very heavily frosted and gooey recreation of the summer dorm. Also decked out in jelly dots and sprinkles and all sorts of other decorations. But now, Mabel is working on fortifying it. She's muttering to herself: ]

Maybe we can build a trap door in the ground right at the entrance...and use the hammocks as some of those net traps to catch intruders...Ooh, what if we gave the dorm giant gingerbread robot arms to smack any geese and murderers away!

[ she looks up from her gingerbread robot arm construction to see what Byleth is working on. ]
