FALL COMMON ROOM - WEEK 2

The common room of the Fall Dorm has soft, dimmer lighting; plush carpet over wood; and several comfortable chairs and sectionals. A few big windows overlook the dormitory area of campus, but there is also a single, cozy bay window on one side.

A television and bluetooth surround-sound are here for Fall students who are more inclined to be tech savvy. In the cabinets under the entertainment stand are an assortment of board games, but the television does have a generic "free tv" app for shows and music.

Above the enormous center fireplace is a moody painting.

This week, there's something else.

specialty room.

Through a door on the first floor, there is an antigravity room. Stepping just a few feet through the doorway will lift everyone up into the air. The seating and most of the rest of the room remains somehow rightfully in place on the floor and will not move. Students, however, can grab pillows and blankets, cups or bowls, or other small items to bring into the air with them.

Hah. Typically not for us, too. But I don't know if it was something to worry about in this case - it seemed more like a moment of clarity; his anger was frustration at what had been done to him.

[Did Luke want that 'something' to be pocket cookies? Because Lalli is absolutely pulling a cookie out of his pocket and offering it to Luke.]

CURFEW

[ Hey y'all it's curfew all over again. Caiman actually stayed in during the evening so he actually blearily woke up right as everyone got the curfew callback to their dorm. And he's out here in his t-shirt, rubbing his head tiredly -- nightmare and mild hangover combination sure is something! And there's a lot happening here.

First off, his pillow is stuck to the back of his head. There are so many puncture holes in his bedding, mostly his pillow. Secondly, he's got a weird-looking mask in his hand. ]

Shit, everyone's here again, huh?

...Think we're just gonna get knocked out around midnight again?

[battling]

[Bradley is hanging out on the spring couch, as usual. Also there is a large three headed husky dog here. He's sitting very politely at Bradley's feet.]

Probably. Whatever's goin' on around here sticks to a schedule.

[headsplitter]

...We've got more animals?!

[lifeless]

[Manwol's heading over to join Bradley on the couch when she sees this DOGE and does an immediate double-take,

she pauses, and then heads over to sit next to Bradley anyway.]

Who's this?

[battling]

[The tail wags as one of the heads looks over at Caiman.]

This was my coupon. Might as well take advantage of it.

[battling]

[One of the other heads looks over at Manwol, and his tail continues to wag.]

Cerberus.

Is this thing here forever?

That's what the coupon was for.

[The dog does not get up from its place at Bradley's feet.]

Nah, he'll probably be gone in a week or somethin'.

He's just there to listen to whatever you say?

[ Bending down... slowly, to stare at it. ]

[Caleb is just sitting in the corner, scowling a little to himself, petting his cat, possibly quietly disassociating. It's fine, that happens sometimes. Someone made him change into bear pajamas but he's also wearing one of the uniform scarfs.]

[Looking up from where he's fucking petting his cat, head turning sharply.]

What an apt name.

[surprised that he's not called something like woofie... can manwol pet him]

So your coupon let you get a pet? Or did it just say 'something from home'?

[His face gets licked, I don't know what you were expecting.]

[ hope at least has a splint for his busted leg now! yaaay. he also made sure to grab some hot chocolate from the cafeteria before the compulsion hit, because sometimes you just need a comforting drink before someone goes off to die apparently. but yeah, as soon as they are all gathered in the common room, he looks down at the cup kind of guiltily before he finally just addresses the room: ]

Um... if you guys heard something splashing into the moat on Wednesday, that was me.

[ closes eyes ]

[ He doesn't know either. He just looks surprised at being licked. Hello? ]

Our dorm's just turning into a zoo!
