FALL COMMON ROOM - WEEK 2

The common room of the Fall Dorm has soft, dimmer lighting; plush carpet over wood; and several comfortable chairs and sectionals. A few big windows overlook the dormitory area of campus, but there is also a single, cozy bay window on one side.

A television and bluetooth surround-sound are here for Fall students who are more inclined to be tech savvy. In the cabinets under the entertainment stand are an assortment of board games, but the television does have a generic "free tv" app for shows and music.

Above the enormous center fireplace is a moody painting.

This week, there's something else.

specialty room.

Through a door on the first floor, there is an antigravity room. Stepping just a few feet through the doorway will lift everyone up into the air. The seating and most of the rest of the room remains somehow rightfully in place on the floor and will not move. Students, however, can grab pillows and blankets, cups or bowls, or other small items to bring into the air with them.

CURFEW

[ Hey y'all it's curfew all over again. Caiman actually stayed in during the evening so he actually blearily woke up right as everyone got the curfew callback to their dorm. And he's out here in his t-shirt, rubbing his head tiredly -- nightmare and mild hangover combination sure is something! And there's a lot happening here.

First off, his pillow is stuck to the back of his head. There are so many puncture holes in his bedding, mostly his pillow. Secondly, he's got a weird-looking mask in his hand. ]

Shit, everyone's here again, huh?

...Think we're just gonna get knocked out around midnight again?

[battling]

[Bradley is hanging out on the spring couch, as usual. Also there is a large three headed husky dog here. He's sitting very politely at Bradley's feet.]

Probably. Whatever's goin' on around here sticks to a schedule.

...We've got more animals?!

[Manwol's heading over to join Bradley on the couch when she sees this DOGE and does an immediate double-take,

she pauses, and then heads over to sit next to Bradley anyway.]

[ GASPS LOUDLY AT THIS NEW BABY ]

Does he like pets?!

[Caleb is just sitting in the corner, scowling a little to himself, petting his cat, possibly quietly disassociating. It's fine, that happens sometimes. Someone made him change into bear pajamas but he's also wearing one of the uniform scarfs.]

[ hmmm. at least he's changed. but they had a little time so he'll quietly hand caleb a thermos. it's just soup? he's not sick but chicken soup for the soul or something???

well, it's miso, but whatever. the point stands. ]

Hey, are the cats and the new dog gonna get along?

[He'll be back in a second, the dog stays exactly on the floor where Bradley was sitting.

Here, the nice, warm scarf he was wearing during the winter formal.]

[When he isn't brooding tsunderely by the window, he does wander over to Caleb to check on him. Why his people keep getting snatched away?!?!

How do you say "u ok" but in a "I'm worried about you is all" way?]

Hey. [To Frumpkin, offering the backs of his fingers in greeting. Hello. To Caleb:] Can I sit with you?

[ hope at least has a splint for his busted leg now! yaaay. he also made sure to grab some hot chocolate from the cafeteria before the compulsion hit, because sometimes you just need a comforting drink before someone goes off to die apparently. but yeah, as soon as they are all gathered in the common room, he looks down at the cup kind of guiltily before he finally just addresses the room: ]

Um... if you guys heard something splashing into the moat on Wednesday, that was me.

[ closes eyes ]

What happened? Did ya fall or what?

... Is that how you busted your leg?

Let's avoid doing that for a while, okay?

[well. here they are again.]

Yeah. Looks that way. [despite the fact this is the third week in a row, he's here and trying to stare out a window.]

So what now?

It's your first week with us, huh!

...Board games? Movies? Hey, what'd we do last time? [ At everyone else. Turning around with his pillow still speared. ]

[ third week in a row! he's not too far from taichi but also, for everyone else here, wow incredible he looks a lot calmer than the previous two what could this mean? do not @ him ]

Pass the time until midnight, basically.

Probably! So don't forget to slip into something that's both comfortable and practical, everyone. To pave the way for the future, we have to learn from the past.

[The three headed dog at his feet is just chilling.]

[Country roads took him home right back to dorm curfew time, it's fine.

He's lingering around where some of the windows are, turned away from everyone. Probably brooding based on how equally low his lashes, his head, and his frown are. A real pensive look is under the emo fringe.]

[She is here to interrupt his brooding.]

[The three headed dog pushes one of his heads against Luke's hand.

Bradley watches from the couch.]

[ noooo emo. or at least, no being emo all alone in a corner. slowly, hope comes over to chill with luke, plunking down on a conveniently placed seat as the older boy gazes out at the campus. ]
