(ROLE) HONOR SOCIETY...... 3!
honor society.
On Monday at 6 PM, Yamato, Rita, Alphinaud, and Kon receive an encrypted e-mail.

No one is in the halls as the two of them creep to the "Bakery".
Before they knock, the door will open before their knuckles so much as touch against the surface of the door. The room is filled with the comforting and warm aroma of assorted baked goods, along with the occasional stray scent of something that doesn't belong - is that hot sauce? A table has been set off to the side, topped off with an elegant tablecloth and a vase full of fresh flowers that certainly aren't there during business hours. The table is set for teatime with a kettle full of perfectly steeped tea, dainty containers of sugar and milk, and a small tower filled with sweets this week. A lot of them look handmade!
In addition, there appears to be a few items handwritten on fine stationary in curling calligraphy, though it appears a bit shaky in sections. For your use, there also appears to be a pen, a highlighter, and a small pad of sticky notes.

Good day. They say that idle hands are the devil's playthings, don't they? So if you'd be kind enough to entertain me, please gather at the "Bakery" at dusk.
We'd best be getting to work. Come alone, for your safety and everyone else's.
Yours,
Viola

» Members of the Honor Society have the following responsibilities: conduct searches for killers, assist others in completing their Extra Credit Assignments, and encouraging the exchange of vouchers for goods and services on campus.
» Each week, the Honor Society must agree upon one person to conduct a search on. They will be able to know if this person has killed, if they possess an additional role, and receive a list of every person they have conversed with over the past week.
» Members of the Honor Society will be expected to report upon their progress of assisting others with Extra Credit. If Members of the Honor Society have successfully assisted others, they will be able to receive one voucher themselves as well as additional information gleaned by the Society Director.
» Of course, the greatest organizations are meant to grow and evolve. Some weeks, you will be able to select provide a list of three to four additional candidates of who you would like to invite to join the Honor Society. Viola will approve one person's membership, limitations and growth pending.
» Outside of the Honor Society, you may not express your membership to anyone. Each week, one person outside of the Honor Society may be made aware of its existence and its membership. You must all agree on this person before telling them. However should that number be broken, grave consequences will follow.

... We got something similar with our group. They're... script pages. It looks like whatever the "twist" they wanted from the original script ended up being some pretty brutal deaths. But I'm more interested in the editors, at this point.

Really hate the ominous "you," "you you and you" they have going on, though. I'm wondering if this is how the murders are decided - we've had some pretty fucking bonkers murders that seem like they'd match these adlib scripts in tone, and it would explain how people are overwritten to commit them.

I wouldn't be surprised if the person who killed Sieghart killed Molly or Crow this week.

But he - he was pretty miserable about it, you know? Not because he was caught, but that he'd done it, and he was obviously trying not to worry us about what happened. It reminded me of hearing that Kaoruko was trying to play the bad guy so we wouldn't feel guilty for voting her the culprit.

[ Alphinaud falls silent for a long moment. ]
Allow me to ask this: if we believe they are being controlled into doing this, when would you say does this compulsion happen?
no subject
... we can't say how premeditated it is. How much planning. If we could catch another killer, we could actually press them for it. But I would say Thursday, at least, if not earlier.

Yeah, it's not something that sits right with me. If an overwrite started earlier, and they didn't realize it until it was too late, I could maybe see it. But we aren't really able to accurately gauge that kind of thing right now...
[ because their compulsions during their trip... those started pretty early on. they made things feel right, even though they knew they weren't, until there was no other choice. ]

We cannot—you are correct. I am reluctant to theorize too heavily on the hows because of it... I just hope we are not all clinging to a desire, rather than what is the truth.
no subject
You think they'll keep killing until someone stops them?
no subject

The reason we're even bothering to find killers who didn't mean to kill is because they can't stop? Because there'll be more and more of them if we don't?
no subject
[ he pauses. ]
You and I discussed what we'd do if we found a killer, and we decided to wait until it happened to make a decision, but I think at this point...
[ ... ]
If we do check someone and come up positive, I think we might have to act first so that they can't again.

there's a complicated play of emotion on kon's face with that, before he takes a deep breath and pushes back from the table, standing up to walk a lap around the room. ]
... that's why we're doing this, isn't it? Finding a way to stop them.
no subject
... It's for their sake, too. No one here would want to be used like this.
no subject
... no. No, they wouldn't. [ haha! that's familiar! ]

We can't control what happens after we all fall asleep. But maybe we could find a way to debilitate them, make it so they can't act again. I don't know... use a spell, break their legs, or something. I might have something that can help.

I think that's it. Especially with the adlib scripts - even if they aren't the scenarios we've seen, there could be similar ones that have been used.
