Good day. They say that idle hands are the devil's playthings, don't they? So if you'd be kind enough to entertain me, please gather at the "Bakery" at dusk.

No one is in the halls as the two of them creep to the "Bakery".

Before they knock, the door will open before their knuckles so much as touch against the surface of the door. The room is filled with the comforting and warm aroma of assorted baked goods, along with the occasional stray scent of something that doesn't belong - is that hot sauce? A table has been set off to the side, topped off with an elegant tablecloth and a vase full of fresh flowers that certainly aren't there during business hours. The table is set for teatime with a kettle full of perfectly steeped tea, dainty containers of sugar and milk, and a small tower filled with sweets this week. A lot of them look handmade!

In addition, there appears to be a few items handwritten on fine stationary in curling calligraphy, though it appears a bit shaky in sections. For your use, there also appears to be a pen, a highlighter, and a small pad of sticky notes.

» Members of the Honor Society have the following responsibilities: conduct searches for killers, assist others in completing their Extra Credit Assignments, and encouraging the exchange of vouchers for goods and services on campus.

» Each week, the Honor Society must agree upon one person to conduct a search on. They will be able to know if this person has killed, if they possess an additional role, and receive a list of every person they have conversed with over the past week.

» Members of the Honor Society will be expected to report upon their progress of assisting others with Extra Credit. If Members of the Honor Society have successfully assisted others, they will be able to receive one voucher themselves as well as additional information gleaned by the Society Director.

» Of course, the greatest organizations are meant to grow and evolve. Some weeks, you will be able to select provide a list of three to four additional candidates of who you would like to invite to join the Honor Society. Viola will approve one person's membership, limitations and growth pending.

» Outside of the Honor Society, you may not express your membership to anyone. Each week, one person outside of the Honor Society may be made aware of its existence and its membership. You must all agree on this person before telling them. However should that number be broken, grave consequences will follow.

For something imperfect but manageable - with discount it'd be 6. For a full restoration, leaving only a scar, with discount it'd be 8.

We can tell one person a week. Do... dead people count, for that? Or are we free to send them information so long as it doesn't get intercepted by the living?

Personally, I'm leaning towards Ichinose or Nier. Feels like a total shot in the dark, though.

I'm also wondering, now that people are starting to clue in to the existence of roles... if maybe we should share that first hint we got. I mean, part of it, if we can.

That they exist at all, you mean? I've thought about that, but... I don't even know which part we could share in a way that'd make sense. "There's another group but we promise they're not killing" isn't great, either.

I wager this outcome is not terribly surprising for any of us. We've reached a dead end, as far as leads go.

[ He puts a hand to his chin, thinking for a minute. ]

Say—what do you all think of the meeting held this morning? There was talk of how the dormitory leads might be a target for, er... the mysterious text that was come upon this morning. Was it not already suspected among us that one of them may already be leading our group of killers?

kon is here! he looks down at ichinose's report and shifts his chair back and forth, contemplative. he seems to have washed off all of the makeup as opposed to having wiped it off, so there's no monstrous spooks here. his hair is a little damp, too. ]

It was, yeah. [ oh, his memories seem fine right now? ] It'd make sense if each dorm head had their "club," so to speak. Too bad we can't try to pull a report on them.

I don't know what to think about the whole "villain" thing, but... yeah, there's little doubt that one of them has been in on the murders.

[today was bad!! but while rita probably looked like a wreck the last time any of these guys saw her, she seems to have her composure now. is it a front? who knows, who cares, there's work to be done.]

Hey, so. We've got another choice to make this week, and we don't have a lot of time left to make it.

Who do we want to tell about the Society? If we managed to find one of those "roles," that would be the obvious choice, but it looks like we'll have to pick some other way.

Best idea I've got right now is to tell the person who'll be talking to the dead next week, so they can take messages for us in case those guys have anything to share. Might be a long shot, though.

I don't know if you guys got any letters, but-- Catra said Byleth said hi, and she thinks we overthink things too much. "Sometimes the simple answer is the right one", whatever that means. And that she's tired of receiving letters about Adora like that's my fault.

NIER

... I've got the details on Nier's role. He's got two main things he can do.

One, he can save someone innocent from being executed on Sunday. Before anyone asks, the thing with Manwol and Lila wasn't him.

Two, he can hide a piece of evidence before we find it on Friday. Doesn't sound like this got much use, since you'd probably have to be involved in a coverup for it to be meaningful. Apparently, he could choose to hide a random piece if he didn't know any specifics about the case, though.

He can only save someone if they don't know they can be saved, so that's the risk, I suppose. Now that we know, none of us can be saved by him.

Like us, he has to choose his target to protect by Tuesday afternoon. If we wanna try to coordinate something, we'll have to have a talk tomorrow.
