but i wasn't joking about doing a cyoa memshare right away. it's a brief flash - a young boy, no more than twelve or thirteen, sits cross-legged before a grave, his thin body swaying as if in a trance. tendrils of black smoke coil from the tomb, wrapping around his neck like strangling vines.
“luca?”
the boy’s swaying ceases at the sound of her voice.
he turns to face lux, and she falters at the sight of his soulless, black eyes. a cruel grin splits his face.
“not anymore,” he says.
and then the memory is over, and lux closes her eyes. ]
[When they take the card, they'll be imbued with the powers written. Also, the weaknesses. Lalli now has Shit physical capabilities—the equivalent of a high school teenager who can't even do ten push-ups in gym. Sucks to suck.
(For the record, as long as you work within the general constrains of what was written, I won't be too picky on how you want to interpret/use your powers—if it's something that can't be done, I'll let you know!)
