There are several holding tubes and prisons, inside which are hybrids, looking half-dead, and some mutilated. There are also, like, a bunch of scientists who are very surprised to see him. None of them look important enough to be the director, though.]

[This isn't all that threatening when the scientists are armed with, like, clipboards and maybe scalpels, but it doesn't seem as though they're going to let Ichinose and Yamato do as they please here.]

[ so here's the thing. her throwing out talismans BASICALLY means the fight is on? not "we should run away now"? and like. yamato ... has knives? and skills? apparently? which is new and exciting. for now he's not going straight to take his knives out and killing a bunch of scientists, at least, since he's theoretically less cat mercenary than he is yamato. so far.
but i doubt they do very good against a half-cat teen pouncing on them to knock them out by ramming their heads into a nearby floor or wall. he's got the skills but his only knowledge of fighting like this comes from watching digimon, so, uh. there is a lot of body slamming involved. and maybe some scratching. i dunno he has speed now so he probably gets at least a few of them laid out? or tries to.
he will also try to steer clear of the talismans ichinose is throwing out because he has no trust. ]

[The first talisman Ichinose throws... appears to do nothing! The scientist stares very confusedly at this thing sticking to him now. The second talisman causes a giant hand (large enough to easily wrap its fingers around a human) to burst forth from the floor, though this one is less horror-y than the previous ones—it looks more like it's made of stone? Like, possibly Step 1 towards Golem. She will find that she can control the hand at will and cause it to extend.
Yamato starts fighting a bunch of scientists! He does a decent job, although one of them is probably going to try and stab him in the shoulder with a scalpel. Another scientist gets by and tries to stab Ichinose in the arm.
(I rolled a 2 for Yamato and 3 for Ichinose, so.)
Regardless of whether or not Yamato and Ichinose get a little stabbing, a sequence of events occur. One of the scientists that Yamato slams, in their attempt to regain balance, knocks some equipment off a table. The equipment falls, causing something below made of glass to shatter, leaving jagged edges in its wake, pointing upwards towards the ceiling.
Finally, Yamato slams into the scientist that Ichinose threw the initial talisman on. He falls back and to the floor—just in the right position for the glass edge to pierce through his throat.
So, Yamato might not have gone straight for murder, but it sure happened anyway. Hm, wonder what Ichinose's talisman did.]
That hurts? She is getting stabbed, thank you very much. But if she's within stabbing distance, then the scientist is close enough for her to slap a talisman on him with her other hand. At the same time, she will try to control the rock arm so it grabs the super dead scientist, and throws the corpse right at the scientist attacking Yamato.
Well. Unless the first talisman suddenly decides to do something, I guess. Whew.]

he does feel a little worse about being stabbed in the shoulder, though luckily(?) while he's busy yelping in pain and surprise ichinose is yeeting a corpse at his attacker. yamato gets away to snarl another day! and by snarl, i mean if he's going to be stabbed he is gonna take out one of his knives to keep up the attack this time. he's still not aiming for murder, but he'd be fine with maiming. tit for tat and all that. how many scientists do they have left in this room to corral ]

The tubes' release function requires codes they don't have, although they can loot the scientists for keys for the more conventional cages. Do they want to unlock those before heading left?]
[They do not. Some are lucid, some are able to help those unable to move. They head out, although no, the eldritch abomination is gone. It's also debatable if it would've done its job as a guard, so that may be for the best.
