CAMPUS

The campus grounds are huge, but it's not difficult for most students to traverse the entire campus on foot, skateboards, bicycles, or skates. The lawn grass is always green and soft, and large sections of it here and there are sometimes used to host things such as movie nights, or a mini band festival. Brick pathways are well lit at night with overhead lamps and walkway lights, and hardly any wind sweeps up them with the buildings nestled so closely together. Dotted throughout the campus are trash bins with lids, or for the more environmentally conscious and easily confused, trash-compost-recycling bins.

The moat by the Dorm Buildings have fish and frogs and other such creatures in their depths, but you will find that they are constantly being patrolled by mean geese. Please let the mods know if you attack the geese.

Sprinkled over campus are public bathrooms for students and staff. Inside the foyer of these bathrooms are always two vending machines, both free of charge for use: one has an assortment of condoms, the other has an assortment of sanitary products. It’s not possible to see the end of the spirals, or the back of the vending machine, but no matter how many are taken, nothing ever runs out.

Throughout the year as the seasons change and events occur, the aesthetics of campus alter slightly. Endearing decorations for holidays, or colorful posters to promote programs and activities appear around every buildings, especially the four major dormitories to the north. Any areas under construction will become available when they are finished, opening more opportunities for students at the academy.

CAFETERIA

Equally as spacious as other rooms on campus, the modern-looking cafeteria is split between a self-serve hot bar / salad bar on one side, and a little collection of specific food stalls on the other side. In the center of the area is a long, divided counter with stools on all sides for high-rise dining and vibing. Surrounding the counter is an assortment of tables and chairs for those who don’t want to sit so tall.

The hot bar and adjacent salad bar have a rotating collection of foods served for 6AM-9AM breakfast, for 11AM-2PM lunch, and for 5PM-8PM dinner. Special dietary items can also be picked up from the end of the hot bar. When finished, there is a conveyor window near the door where all plates, utensils, and trash can be placed. However if you're feeling more environmentally conscious, feel free to use one of the trash-compost-recycling bins, matching those that are situated around campus. If you enter the cafeteria outside the hours of operation, an industrial kitchen is available to students to cook their own meals.

If the school food isn’t appetizing, there are several places to grab a quick meal:

The Inside Scoop, 10AM-9PM. Any milkshake, smoothie, ice cream, or froyo to be imagined can be purchased here, toppings and all. Sizes are junior to deluxe cups or bowls, waffle cones, and sugar cones. Frequently, they will have special, seasonal flavors.

Toasted, open 24 hours. A sub shop with a variety of sandwich types. After picking the base bread and meats, the sandwich can be tailored with any toppings.
Golly-B, 8AM-10PM. Chicken all day, every way. Choose between any chicken entree cooked in a variety of ways and styles, complimented by a choice of fries; mashed potatoes; or garlic, adobo, or steamed rice. Burgers, burger steaks, palabok, and sweet spaghetti can also be purchased instead.
”Bakery”, 9AM-10AM, 1PM-3PM, 6PM-7PM. A little bakery with two female employees. No matter what size or quantity are ordered, something completely different is always received, and no one ever gets back the correct amount of change. Everything is barely edible, but it’s endearing in a sad way. The specialty is cake baked with ice cream inside. The two women are always fiddling with the blast chiller in the back.

Future Farmers Orchard, Garden, and Stable

On additional acreage attached to the school are several orchards and a wide area of farming fields. The orchards are all in various stages of fruit growth throughout the year; the trees have apples, cherries, oranges, pears, and peaches. There are a few select trees which grow bananas, coconuts, mango, and durian, too. In the fields, corn, root vegetables, squash and pumpkins, watermelon, beans, tomatoes, and peppers can be found.

Between the acreage and the other agricultural units is a little pond. A ferocious gaggle of geese stalk these grounds, so there is a sign by the water’s edge which reads, BEWARE OF GEESE ESPECIALLY DURING SPRING.

Nearby is a barn and stable full of both farming equipment and domesticated farm animals. Agricultural students and staff can find anything they need to assist in tending to the orchard, the field, or the animals, including farm UTVs. (And a sign warning students not to race them.) The stable and outside fencing area has horses, chickens, goats, pigs, and cows. One or two cats roam the barn to keep away rodents, and there are a few dogs used for herding.

Across a small dirt path is a separate field full of a variety of different flowers, and a small greenhouse of herbs and equipment. No, there’s no weed.
