FALL COMMON ROOM - WEEK 4

The common room of the Fall Dorm has soft, dimmer lighting; plush carpet over wood; and several comfortable chairs and sectionals. A few big windows overlook the dormitory area of campus, but there is also a single, cozy bay window on one side.

A television and bluetooth surround-sound are here for Fall students who are more inclined to be tech savvy. In the cabinets under the entertainment stand are an assortment of board games, but the television does have a generic "free tv" app for shows and music.

Above the enormous center fireplace is a moody painting.

This week, there's something else.

specialty room.

Through a door on the first floor, there is an antigravity room. Stepping just a few feet through the doorway will lift everyone up into the air. The seating and most of the rest of the room remains somehow rightfully in place on the floor and will not move. Students, however, can grab pillows and blankets, cups or bowls, or other small items to bring into the air with them.

[He exhales sharply and realizes he needs to uncurl his fisties.]

We have tomorrow to get through, too. We'll figure out what to do then.

[They both ANGY. So, of course, he immediately changes the subject.]

How's Maya? [VERY QUICKLY ADDS:] And Nier.

[goalsides]

Better. [little waves of worry because maya's a good friend and she was legit dying? bad.] We used a coupon on her, I think, to heal the worst of it. Either way she's stable now, I was gonna go see her tomorrow. You can come if you want...if you're free.

Nier's shoulder's healing. He's probably better off than most of them. We talked a little before lockdown, but he's okay.

[darksubverted]

[A bit of relief rolls off him. The tension in his shoulders loosen, but they don't fall completely.]

Okay. [Thank god for voucher pooling.] The others, too. [It's not really a question.]

I'm checking on as many of them as I can, so you can come with me or I'll just update you myself. We did everything we could for now so...[yeah. all they can do now is wait for someone to die. great.]
