WINTER COMMON ROOM - WEEK 4
common room.
Similar to the rest of the architecture, the common room in the Winter Dorm is almost more reminiscent of a tea room or parlor that you would find in a manor. A chandelier hangs above, everything in the room glistening in the light that is both welcoming and just a tinge cold. Seating is available for a number of people to gather, adjusting each week to seemingly accommodate a little bit over the number of people assigned to the dorm. A piano doesn't sit too far, and sometimes when the room isn't too full, it's almost like a beautiful classical melody will begin to play itself to make up for the empty space.
Or... is that a showtune...?
Who can say?
This week, something else has been provided!
specialty room.
However on the first floor, there's an oddity amidst the serene architecture. One of the rooms opens to a Gaming Lounge, complete with screens that stretch across the entirety of one wall length-wise. Incredible comfortable chairs and couches sit opposite the screen, comfortable enough to steal you away from the outside world for hours upon hours. A series of gaming systems are hooked up to the screens, and a small tower of handhelds sit on a bookcase nearby. Every game you can think of is downloaded and programmed onto each device, though every time you start one up it seems to immediately pull up an otome game or farming simulator. The lighting system changes between a rainbow of colors, and one wall is lined with snacks that are a little less decadent but still just as delicious. The room will adjust based on the needs of the game you play, a wall spinning out to roll out DDR dance pads, virtual reality goggles, or whatever you could need for the ultimate gaming experience.
No, it isn't incredibly reminiscent of Dude Perfect's Game Time Lounge. You're imagining it. (But really, click the link for a better idea of what the room looks like.)
Please use this as an open post for members of Winter Dorm. You may post top-levels whenever you'd like and go wild. A new post will go up at the start of each week.

They'd talk about how, like, princesses will cut open your head and eat your brains, or how they would use their evil magic to lure you into the woods and make you go crazy.
[she says this very casually]
no subject
... uh, Adora? What. [ "this shit be WILDIN???" emotion goes here, from the floor ]
no subject
Oh.
Uh, don't worry, I know that princesses aren't really like that now. It was all just propaganda.
no subject
he just shifts a little to put his cheek more into his bicep, squinting up at her. ]
I can't believe you had propaganda against princesses. That doesn't sound real. Though I guess there's some archetypes that would match, that's usually a, like, niche taste. Yanderes - if you see dere in something, that's warm and soft and affectionate, basically.
A yandere is affectionate and caring, until they're not. They get possessive and violent. Not for Winter dorm otome education nights.

just accept it]
... That doesn't sound great. Sounds really painful and rough and scarring for years. Ha... ha ha. [.... i.
i mean.
........ sweats a lot about catra]
no subject
So we're going to make sure we just focus on tsunderes, which is someone who can be kind of hostile, aggressive, hotheaded, but will warm up and be soft with the person who understands them.
[ REROUTES TO CURRENT CATRA ]
no subject
She brightens right up.]
Yeah! That's a great idea!
[Tone it down, Adora.]
I mean, uh. Yeah, that's fine. I'm... pretty okay with that kind of person, I think.

..... let's change the subject. [ stop talking about brains and cutting heads open adora it's too soon ] - I think, maybe like... of the girls here, Iris is probably a princess type. Does that make sense?
no subject
Ooooh, yeah, she definitely fits all of those things you said before.
[Huh!!]
Iris is super lovely. It'd be hard not to be interested in someone like her.

no subject
Hey, Iris. Do you like the color blue?
no subject
It is one of my favorite colors... I think it suits me better than others?
no subject
He really was spot-on... you are the princess type.
That's amazing.
no subject
Maybe in theory... but in practice, I'm actually not a route option, so...
no subject
[ he has not noticed iris is in the room yet, no. ]
no subject
please stop doing this. she gently clears her throat. the emotions are Complicated(tm) but don't worry about it]
... Do I truly come off as really smart? That's reassuring.
no subject
oh god his entire face turns red ] Iris--! When did you...hhahaha. Ha. Hey! Yeah. I mean, yeah, of course you are. You're way smarter than me, but I guess that's a low bar...
no subject
iris just smiles, tilting her head. emotions continue to be very carefully curated.]
I wouldn't say that. You're smarter than you give yourself credit for.
... I wasn't a princess in my game, though. So I'm not sure if I'm a good example.
no subject
Well - it's about the person we know, right? Not just your game. But... real people are way more dimensional than just dating sim stereotypes, anyway.
[ that smile goes a little sheepish, at the end. ] I guess... if we're sorting each other, then it's just something kinda goofy, like a bad internet quiz. So... what would you put me as?
no subject
You? Oh, that's simple. You're the poster boy on the cover of any otome game, stylized to look a little more aggressive than you are, and hinting to your backstory to contrast with your sweet boy exterior! A very wonderful beginning route that makes people feel guilty for moving on to another route - your fans are deeply ride or die. Your three most common CGs that get googled are of you with a puppy, a hurt/comfort injury wrapping CG, and probably... [ . . . ] Oh, probably a beach CG?
I've lost sleep over routes like yours.
[SHE'S SO CONFIDENT
anyway please comment to get diagnosed with otome route]
no subject
Wow, Iris... I don't even know most of what that means but it still somehow all sounds so right.
