FALL COMMON ROOM - WEEK 5

The common room of the Fall Dorm has soft, dimmer lighting; plush carpet over wood; and several comfortable chairs and sectionals. A few big windows overlook the dormitory area of campus, but there is also a single, cozy bay window on one side.

A television and bluetooth surround-sound are here for Fall students who are more inclined to be tech savvy. In the cabinets under the entertainment stand are an assortment of board games, but the television does have a generic "free tv" app for shows and music.

Above the enormous center fireplace is a moody painting.

This week, there's something else.

specialty room.

Through a door on the first floor, there is an antigravity room. Stepping just a few feet through the doorway will lift everyone up into the air. The seating and most of the rest of the room remains somehow rightfully in place on the floor and will not move. Students, however, can grab pillows and blankets, cups or bowls, or other small items to bring into the air with them.

[there's a huff like he agrees, tail still wagging and bonking his head into futaba's hands. yes, yes, he is a good boy and also this certificate sure is Something, what the fuck actually.]

That's what I said. What kind of nonsense are they pulling now?

[he growls at the paper again, baring his teeth before he sits up and waves both paws in the air.

bare....bear? what do we think about principal bear right now and this mock-up certificate? is it real, or is this even more bullshit that's been twisted?]

[ oh.... she's clapping. how talented. ]

[he just. flops on the floor sadly and huffs.

[ how is she supposed to think when he's being fuckin adorable like this. she pets his ears ]

You're too distracting. But maaaybe, something about writing our own ending is right? Completing something?

[ not having all of her notes organized onto a screen is killing her ]

[he leans into the pets, tail wagging as he boofs thoughtfully. a paw scratches at the floor as if to mimic writing.

the paper does say write it into the world, so it's possible they can do as they were discussing and write a villain and finish the story. more scratching follows before looking at futaba with a woof.

Hmmmmm...... What would be a good villain in a school setting....?

[ time to look up riverdale plots brb ]

[stop leave riverdale alone. but he tries to think...before he runs away! he barks to get futaba's attention to make sure she's watching before he slowly starts to crawl under a couch, growing invisible bit by bit.

what about a villain that would make people disappear..?]

[ i have to say, looking at riverdale plots tired me out so bad I immediately had to go to sleep.

however, futaba does not speak dog so she's just watching this blankly ]

The villain is hiding under the set?

[mood to all of this. that wasn't quite what he was trying to mention here, but now that she says that he has to wonder. so he sticks his head out from under the couch and boofs curiously.

maybe! actually, maybe that's a really good point. what if the villain is hiding under all of them somehow? like they have a network around all of them and that's how things are controlled?

there's an annoyed whine at that though.]

It's all kinda TV show based but maybe we should have been considering offstage too.

[he buries his head under his paws. this is making his head hurt, but there's a woof of agreement all the same. that's not a bad idea, futaba-chan.]

[he will lean heavily into her hands for these pets and attention. it's fine. he will be a simple dog for the time being.]
