FALL COMMON ROOM - WEEK 7

common room.

The common room of the Fall Dorm has soft, dimmer lighting; plush carpet over wood; and several comfortable chairs and sectionals. A few big windows overlook the dormitory area of campus, but there is also a single, cozy bay window on one side.

A television and bluetooth surround-sound are here for Fall students who are more inclined to be tech savvy. In the cabinets under the entertainment stand are an assortment of board games, but the television does have a generic "free tv" app for shows and music.

Above the enormous center fireplace is a moody painting.

This week, there's something else.

specialty room.

Through a door on the first floor, there is an antigravity room. Stepping just a few feet through the doorway will lift everyone up into the air. The seating and most of the rest of the room remains somehow rightfully in place on the floor and will not move. Students, however, can grab pillows and blankets, cups or bowls, or other small items to bring into the air with them.

[They can open the door, yes! Inside, is their dorm head's studio-looking room...

And covering every wall of the room is the repeating lines of what was on the door, vibrant red. The desk chair is overturned on the floor. Beside it, is a keyblade.

The corkboard and desk is filled with odds and ends. Why did I make Riku keep so much shit? Anyway, the corkboard has a picture of a young, familiar silver-haired boy squatting on a beach with a brown-haired boy and a red-haired girl; two pictures of Fall Dorm posing with the Claudeboard; a picture of the Christmas tree; a stolen Anime Night poster; a manila envelope with a drawing of the silver- and brown-haired boy watching the sunrise, signed "Dawn"; a selfie of a grumpy cat mascot standing with Manwol; a picture of Beauregard in a Naruto headband; and a recent picture of Riku with Mabel and Mandricardo.

On the desk is a paper airplane with two dogs on the wings; a Naruto headband; a red origami mouse; one tea bag, and a piece of paper.]

[On the desk, is a single letter written in somewhat neat but quirky handwriting...]

[ lux reads it very quickly... and then just hands it to yamato because she doesn't want to hold it anymore. ]

[ his now! but everyone is here so he'll read it aloud for everyone. maybe he looks a little upset when he gets to the part about the digis that's unfinished who knows. he's infinitely more upset about the last part so it doesn't matter. ]

... Let's get him back.

[He's going to look at the chair for a moment and... then he's going to check out the cork-board. That picture of Riku, Mandi and Mabel, it's the same one he got in the grave, right?]

[It's the same one, yes. :)]

[he will enter the room and head for the keyblade! can he have this? he's going to pick it up to take it with him.]

[dormheads]

[He can has. It's sturdy, and actually kind of heavy.

But the heaviness isn't in the weight of it in his arms. The real weight is felt in Taichi's heart. Something a little dark, but steeled and strong. It's familiar.]

[hate you. but it's fine. he'll carry that weight until they get riku back, no big deal. it's a small price to pay to save a friend.]

...okay. We'll figure it out.

[ futabs is coming to chortle over the Naruto headband. ]

[STOP LET HIM LIVE HIS GIFT]

[ she's pocketing if only for the idea of embarrassing riku back to himself ]

[She can do this, even if he'll hate it.]

[ he wants to see the paper too so assume he's next to lux but he'll pause and grab the picture of baby destiny trio because you never fucking know maybe this will wake him up from being possessed ]

[Sorry about the letter, haha.

They look so happy in the picture. Well. The silver-haired boy looks like he's trying to be more serious, but he's got that can't-help-but-smile quirk to his lips.]

but he'll find a place where it won't get crinkled to keep it. ]

Ichinose takes a glitter marker out of her pocket and crosses out some of the creepy red text on the door for science, before taking the knocked over door and jamming it under the handle so it's harder for the door to slam shut. Paranoia!

Anyway, is there anything in that manila envelope? Or is it just a cute memento?]

[dormheads]

[A few minutes after she writes over the words, they seem to bleed back into place, covering the marker and appearing against on the surface.

The door stays open!

The envelope is empty. There is just a cute hand-drawn picture on one side of it.]

[Ew.

She pockets the envelope and grabs the picture of everyone posing around the claudeboard while she's at it.

And then she scribbles on the door again, just to time how long it takes. "why is she doing this" she's petty]

[I have to ask which picture of the Claudeboard because there are two, and one has something else.

ICHINOSE. It takes about a minute or so for the words to bleed back into place over the glitter marker.]
