SUMMER COMMON ROOM - WEEK 7

The common room is as bright and open as the rest of the dorm. Beanbag chairs and even more hammocks are situated around for any of your resting needs, because who needs couches? There are a few blankets on the couch just for comfort, but the temperature is never cold enough to need them because of chill. There's also an absurd amount of pillows.

The walls are decorated with paintings that are either modern art pieces or done by kindergarteners. There are also photographs tacked onto the walls as well, of seemingly random things like a vase of flowers, a mailbox, a bird on a tree branch. The photos are less about grand views and feels more like someone testing out a camera.

On a table is a welcome basket.

In the common room, there's a door that leads to what can only be described as an Occult Room for some strange reason. Unlike the rest of the dorm, this room is dimly lit and is crowded with items—a skeleton that may or may not be real, taxidermy animals, really creepy looking dolls, an actual coffin, etc. On a table to the side is a Ouija board, a few tarot decks, and crystal ball.

[ On the usual table, there aren't any snacks or drinks this time.

There are, however, an empty tea mug for every member of Summer dorm, with their name printed on the outside. It looks to be Annie's handwriting for that personalized touch. There's no note. ]

THIRD FLOOR

[dormheads]

[ On the third floor door, SUMMER!!! residents might see a… decoration change. From head to toe, scrawled out in red writing: ]



[ Will you look inside? ]

[ Time to snoop. ]

I hate this place.

It better not be referring to Annie as such.

[ Can it be wiped off? ]

It doesn't know what it's talking about if it is.

[a beat as he tries to wipe it off]

...let's paint over it if we have to.

[ It can't be wiped off, no. ]

Looks like painting it might be the way to go if we wind up staying here any longer.

[ Okay, so what do we have? Is there any secret diaries they can peek at? ]

she's heading over to the armchair from the video message to see if she can find those papers, honestly.]

[ The room is very tidy, except for the fact that there are a ton of tea mugs everywhere, including the floor. Actually, some of these are knocked over or broken.

There are some notebooks on the desk if Wang Lu is snooping for secret diaries.

As for Lila, she'll see something on the couch. ]

Maybe we should paint a giant mug on the wall.

[ He almost wants to make a joke about everything looking muggy around here, but he thankfully keeps that from leaving his lips.

He'll check out on the notebooks, while Lila gets her feelings murdered with her couch findings. ]

there's the crinkling of paper as lila grips the paper very tightly, her expression souring as she reads it]

Can this place please stop trying to get us to kill people we like? Please? That would be nice. Ugh.

[she's going to look under the couch cushions, and under the couch itself, for maybe a different letter? like, one that's all, "haha! jk! don't kill me!"]

[ Most of it seems to be school books, but Wang Lu will find... a stake! Like, the kind you stab vampires with.

Lila will just find papers that were previous versions of the same thing. They're scribbled out, like Annie changed her mind about these ones. ]

[ Nothing in them like photos or a secret note stating she actually is ticklish?

Looking over at Lila. ]

What did you find?

[ Picking up the stake to check it out. ]

Did she mention anything about vampires to you?

A letter that the others are not gonna like.

[if she looks very carefully can she see if there's any differences between the final product and the stuff that was scribbled out or is it Too Scribbled to see.]

There are no tickling notes. There's no photos.

The stake is just... a wooden stake. Pretty sharp, if he pokes at the pointy end. ]

Let me guess, it's telling us we cam leave her behind or end her if things go bad?

Then we can say some kind of line about how it made a grave mistake.

[ So! Shit's fucked. The day is spent making preparations, and as much as everyone hustles... There are moments where rest of necessary, too.

Down in the common room at some point during Monday, Alphinaud is crouched down before his carbuncle and Bloody Mary. He's feeding them small pieces of sandwich meat, and they both very eagerly devour their share. ]

—Now, now, you two. You could at least try to savour it...

They're so cute.

[ CARBUNCLE AND DOGE ]

Aren't they? Though, I do wonder if we've been spoiling Bloody Mary too much...

[ But he'll give her a pet, anyway. ]

Aww, they must be hungry! Can I give them a piece?

[ he chuckles ]

You would think neither of them have ever once eaten! Not that one of you needs to.

[ In response, the carbuncle gives an indignant little chirp. ]

Here you are, though they will snap it up quick.

[ He hands over small slices of salami to Lila. ]

[she crouches down and offers the slices to bloody mary and the carbuncle!]

Here you go... eat up!

[she's fully expecting them to Just Go For It]

[ And they hella do. They are there to consume. ]

There—that's enough for you both.

[ Though they are doing that thing where they stare, expecting more... Alphinaud just smiles and rubs Bloody Mary's head. ]

She does make me miss having a dog around.

[well, since he's got bloody mary covered, she smiles and gives the carbuncle a little pet]

It's nice to have pets around!
