SUMMER COMMON ROOM - WEEK 7

The common room is as bright and open as the rest of the dorm. Beanbag chairs and even more hammocks are situated around for any of your resting needs, because who needs couches? There are a few blankets on the couch just for comfort, but the temperature is never cold enough to need them because of chill. There's also an absurd amount of pillows.

The walls are decorated with paintings that are either modern art pieces or done by kindergarteners. There are also photographs tacked onto the walls as well, of seemingly random things like a vase of flowers, a mailbox, a bird on a tree branch. The photos are less about grand views and feels more like someone testing out a camera.

On a table is a welcome basket.

In the common room, there's a door that leads to what can only be described as an Occult Room for some strange reason. Unlike the rest of the dorm, this room is dimly lit and is crowded with items—a skeleton that may or may not be real, taxidermy animals, really creepy looking dolls, an actual coffin, etc. On a table to the side is a Ouija board, a few tarot decks, and crystal ball.

Aww, they must be hungry! Can I give them a piece?

[ he chuckles ]

You would think neither of them have ever once eaten! Not that one of you needs to.

[ In response, the carbuncle gives an indignant little chirp. ]

Here you are, though they will snap it up quick.

[ He hands over small slices of salami to Lila. ]

[wtfox]

[she crouches down and offers the slices to bloody mary and the carbuncle!]

Here you go... eat up!

[she's fully expecting them to Just Go For It]

[ And they hella do. They are there to consume. ]

There—that's enough for you both.

[ Though they are doing that thing where they stare, expecting more... Alphinaud just smiles and rubs Bloody Mary's head. ]

She does make me miss having a dog around.

[wtfox]

[well, since he's got bloody mary covered, she smiles and gives the carbuncle a little pet]

It's nice to have pets around!

[ That carbuncle loves a good pet, and so, it will lean right into her hand. Rub, rub. ]

Have you any, Lila?

[wtfox]

[she giggles, delighted. this carbuncle is getting pampered now.]

Ah... unfortunately, no. We move around so much for my mom's work that we can't really have pets.

[arcsplainist]

[ aw yea. two critters who love pats. ]

Ah—though I do understand. What is her work, if I may ask?

[wtfox]

Oh! She's a diplomat. So, like... she works for the government of Italy? But they send her to the embassies in different countries.

[arcsplainist]

Aha—what a coincidence! That is rather close to my own line of work, as well, so I understand it all too well.

[wtfox]

No wonder it's so easy for me to get along with you, then! You really get it.

[arcsplainist]

[ again, he slips out a small, short laugh. ]

I hope it is a little more than that, at the very least. You're rather personable, yourself.

I guess it's not too hard for two personable people to make friends with each other!
