Initially Lux didn't have much of an impression of Manwol beyond that she seemed Nice Enough and was Fall Dorm, ie: Lux's responsibility to protect.
Then Manwol volunteered to die and Lux voted for her, and talked to a lot of people about that choice. Ultimately it boiled down to: It's better to respect that someone has made a difficult choice than force something unfair on PROBABLY A RANDOM CHILD. She kind of justified it by thinking of it like being in the military. A soldier is probably going to fucking eat it WAY EARLIER IN LIFE than a civilian. But we don't kick and scream when someone signs up for the military, so like. We can't throw a fit if someone is willing to take on the burden of dying for our failures. (?????)
But she did hate it!! And Manwol living was a very difficult mix of relief and frustration, because Lila had to die instead hewwo...
After that they mostly just vibed... She thought Manwol was smart and funny and pretty, and all of them got up to prank shenanigans together... She judged her for dating Claude, but it was like - playfully, because Fall Dorm bonded like that.
Lux never quite knew how to handle Manwol coming into Maf. Manwol wasn't one of her picks, and her outlook was so counter to how all the rest of maf viewed things. She was like - clearly upset at having been dragged into something that she couldn't look away from. She didn't want to just leave their crime scenes as is, she didn't want to sit victims down and gently explain what was going on. She wanted to sneak up on people and hide the evidence and be strategic, and I think that... Lux could have been swayed to that had she not been surrounded by other maf who were also big softies. But. She was surrounded by other softies, and she had decided she was in charge now because she was the longest maf.
Which meant Manwol was hers to protect as both Fall Dorm and Mafia. So when Manwol died and Lux smashed her phone that was. Like, because of the Denji's phone thing, there were some people who thought maybe it was an evidence ploy or a scheme but.
No, Lux was just fucking upset that Manwol died. Because A) Manwol had walked her back to Fall Dorm and then left again! to go die! what the fuck! and B) she was maf and Lux wanted to protect maf. AND C) SHE WAS FALL DORM, and at this point Lux was DEEP in the depression spiral and she was just hopelessly latching onto but at least I've protected Fall Dorm. and Manwol took that from her. :unamused:
And she probably cried for like an hour when she got Manwol's parting gift, and then even though it had ended on a like 'i'll ask you about this thing!' Lux just didn't bring it up because she didn't even want to acknowledge that Manwol had died, she is just, it didn't last that long, she is not even going to deal with it anymore, GOODBYE.
