No one is in the halls as Claude creeps to the Library. As there were no further directions, they will have to walk around in confusion for a while before they find Sally in a secluded corner near the back. In front of her are two teas, and she'll push one towards you when she spots you.

On the table next to the cups, there are a few sheets of paper. On the top one, in purple gel pen ink, there seems to be something written.

» You will have special power over the rest of the student body. This will allow you to create rules and obligations that the others will have to follow or face consequences.

» You may choose a rule or obligation that all of the student body will be subject to. A rule will be added to the student handbook, and if broken, the student will be given a punishment. An obligation is an effect that the students will be compelled to do. You can only choose one of the options each week.

» You may choose what day these things are applied. However, for rules, it cannot be added any later than Wednesday, or else it will roll over to the following week.

» You may also choose to give two students their own specific rule or obligation. You can give them either the same one or different ones, but you must choose between the two types.

That's a relief. And just to be clear, it must be either a rule or an obligation each week, but am I allowed to do one general of either plus one for two specific people? Or is that also either/or?

[dormheads]

No, that's fine. So you get to pick something that affects the general public, and then something else that's targeted to two. You could also just pick one person if you can't think of two.

[whatever strikes his fancy.]

For the more specific one that affects two people, you can decide to use it any day of the week. But if you don't, it won't roll over to the next week, so you would just miss your chance on using it for that week.

Could I pick one of the dorm heads?

[ looks her right in her corn eyes ]

[she stares at him unblinkingly.]

You can try. But I don't think you'd be able to make us do anything that would go against our job as a dorm head. That contract is preeeetty binding.

[shaft]

[ Interesting. Well, that's something to try then. ]

Okay thanks, and just a couple more questions but... regarding the obligation, there's no punishment if they resist and don't comply? Also, who will know that I've drafted these rules other than yourself?

[dormheads]

No punishment for the obligation!

[dormheads]

It's mostly an initiative to get people to do things. Wiwaldi prides itself in an active student life, but apparently recently people don't really want to do much...

So a nudge is in order, right?

... Oh. So it's a lighthearted exercise?

It's up to you to be as lighthearted as you want. Or to do pranks, or whatever.

As long as it keeps the student body active in some shape or form.
