Good day. They say that idle hands are the devil's playthings, don't they? So if you'd be kind enough to entertain me, please gather at the "Bakery" at dusk.

We'd best be getting to work. Come alone, for your safety and everyone else's.

No one is in the halls as the two of them creep to the "Bakery".

Before they knock, the door will open before their knuckles so much as touch against the surface of the door. The room is filled with the comforting and warm aroma of assorted baked goods, along with the occasional stray scent of something that doesn't belong - is that hot sauce? A table has been set off to the side, topped off with an elegant tablecloth and a vase full of fresh flowers that certainly aren't there during business hours. The table is set for teatime with a kettle full of perfectly steeped tea, dainty containers of sugar and milk, and a small tower of delectable finger sandwiches.

In addition, there appears to be a few items handwritten on fine stationary in curling calligraphy, though it appears a bit shaky in sections. For your use, there also appears to be a pen, a highlighter, and a small pad of sticky notes.

» Members of the Honor Society have the following responsibilities: conduct searches for killers, assist others in completing their Extra Credit Assignments, and encouraging the exchange of vouchers for goods and services on campus.

» Each week, the Honor Society must agree upon one person to conduct a search on. They will be able to know if this person has killed, if they possess an additional role, and receive a list of every person they have conversed with over the past week.

» Members of the Honor Society will be expected to report upon their progress of assisting others with Extra Credit. If Members of the Honor Society have successfully assisted others, they will be able to receive one voucher themselves as well as additional information gleaned by the Society Director.

» Of course, the greatest organizations are meant to grow and evolve. Some weeks, you will be able to select provide a list of three to four additional candidates of who you would like to invite to join the Honor Society. Viola will approve one person's membership, limitations and growth pending.

» Outside of the Honor Society, you may not express your membership to anyone. Each week, one person outside of the Honor Society may be made aware of its existence and its membership. You must all agree on this person before telling them. However should that number be broken, grave consequences will follow.

Well, it's an attempt at getting to work on solving a few things - or at least getting more answers than we currently possess. I can try to answer your questions if you have more specific ones.

[ghoststrums]

[ he does not appreciate the cute bird curtsy! which is a shame. it is cute. instead he just looks more like someone spat in his cereal. ]

Solving things... more answers? You've got to be kidding me. This thing is talking about us checking people to find killers like it's some kind of twisted game!

[rita doesn't touch the offered refreshments, she just reads the whole thing and narrows her eyes at viola.]

I don't intend to treat it as a game. If anything, consider it a supplement to efforts already being made.

Rather, last week the primary intention of the Honor Society was mostly to help with Extra Credit assignments... but after everything that happened, there was a need to expand its scope.

[dormheads]

Oh, forgive me. I keep forgetting that body language is null this week. I shook my head.

So we're expecting more killers. And, what, this is the best the school can do to deal with that?

[ghoststrums]

Why the hell would anyone care about extra credit anything when you're so sure people are going to keep killing each other?!

Ah, I'm afraid there might be a misunderstanding. There was and is no certainty that people would kill each other. If you would like to review information to be sure we're all on the same page, I'm happy to do so.

But in the event that it does happen now that a precedent has been set, is it not better to have a mechanism that would allow for it to be caught?

[dormheads]

I wouldn't say we're expecting it - thus far, no one's been able to report to me why Kaoruko chose to kill in the first place. It may have been a one-time event.

But at present, this is a mechanism that exists in order to try to seek answers in case of a future event.

Of course. I don't want to belittle your wishes. I've heard the same thing all this time - but I'm afraid I don't have the power to grant that.

Yeah, apparently no one does.

[ snapped back and he balls his hands into fists but still tries to be good and not physically assault a mascot. yet. ]

Even if all of that is true and this is just a precaution, what's the point of the rest of it? Helping other with their extra credit or whatever. I thought those were meant to be secret anyway?

In certain cases, extra credit can be told to others in private. From what I understand, there are a few that are harder to accomplish without knowing assistance from another party.

Accomplishing Extra Credit will be conducive to finding more answers, I believe. Earning points for good behavior in order to access additional information within the university's archives. While it was initially intended to be a benign volunteer service within the campus, it sounds as though more information is needed in order to truly understand the situation at hand.

Hmm... I wish I could provide an answer, but I'm afraid I don't have one on hand at the moment.

When I was given this assignment, I was directed to contact both of you. Though I believe I can also make a few educated guesses.

... So what you're saying is, the only way to find out anything that matters is to play along with this stupid school?

[ well she said a lot more than that, but he's summarizing! angrily. still without trying to grab anyone by the collar, which I can only assure you is mainly because he's not sure he knows how to do that with a mascot outfit. ]

And none of you have enough access to look through those archives for yourselves either, right?

Transactions and reward are the basis of schooling here. Good behavior, turn in assignments, receive grades. Administration works similarly. Even though we as Dorm Heads have additional knowledge of the school, there are still some things that we need to earn. Knowing that our residents are completing Extra Credit as assigned is a way for us to prove that the curriculum is working, which will allow for more information to be accessed.

Of course, I know that's not what you want and your goal is to - erm, return home, not partake in school activities.

However if the information that you seek in order to help people and protect them is tied with school bureaucracy, then spending your days completing a few additional tasks is a small price, I think.

At least... that is my review on it.

Which is good in combination with being very smart. This assignment requires some creative thinking and being able to connect pieces together. And so... I think that you'd do well in the job. I hope that you are willing to complete it. I think you could do a lot of good.
