FALL COMMON ROOM - WEEK 0

The common room of the Fall Dorm has soft, dimmer lighting; plush carpet over wood; and several comfortable chairs and sectionals. A few big windows overlook the dormitory area of campus, but there is also a single, cozy bay window on one side.

A television and bluetooth surround-sound are here for Fall students who are more inclined to be tech savvy. In the cabinets under the entertainment stand are an assortment of board games, but the television does have a generic "free tv" app for shows and music.

Above the enormous center fireplace is a moody painting.

On one of the tables is a welcome basket.

Through a door on the first floor, there is an antigravity room. Stepping just a few feet through the doorway will lift everyone up into the air. The seating and most of the rest of the room remains somehow rightfully in place on the floor and will not move. Students, however, can grab pillows and blankets, cups or bowls, or other small items to bring into the air with them.

... I won't over-play my skill, but I can wield a sword... Decently enough.

A sword?! I dunno if a knife can hold up to a sword though.

Maybe that's where a difference in skill comes in.

[ but, after a beat. ] ... But it was a thoughtless offer. I don't have a weapon with me.

I'll totally settle for weaponless hand-to-hand.

[ Unfazed. By the offer of sparring nor about her being a woman. ]

It's not where I shine, but if you'll go easy on me, we can try it.

Going easy on things isn't my thing but I won't kill ya if that's your concern. Unless you're like, a Sorcerer.

Well, of course.

But I'm not, so I suppose I'm safe for now?

Then we can get along! Luxanna, right?!

[ Oh look at that, he can use a name. ]

[ how nice! she smiles. ]

That's right. It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Caiman.

[ He grins! As much as lizard faces can grin, which actually is surprisingly a lot in his case apparently. ]

Cool, we're dorming together or whatever until I can find my way back? Works for me!

It would seem so.

I hope that we'll be of use to one another.

Oh, sure. I can try, or whatever...? Not sure what for though.

For looking after one another.

All of us should try to keep the others from harm, so long as it doesn't mean endangering ourselves in the process.

And you... guard crowns?

That's right.

My family serves the royal family of Demacia. In a way, we serve all of Demacia. It's my duty as a Crownguard to look after others.

Royal? Like, kings an' queens, that kinda stuff? Didn't know they still were around.

Of course they are. Not many regions aren't under the rulership of their own royals.

I don't get it, what's that mean?

[ Dumb look? Dumb look. ] The fact that you've even got folk running places and all.

What'dya mean 'not under rulership of their own royals'? Why wouldn't you just rule your own place?
