In the common room, the walls have been painted with photo-like pictures of forests and lakes, and spread across the ceiling is a depiction of the night sky. One wall is lined with bookcases, the books ranging from fiction to non-fiction as well used course textbooks. More bookcases have been used to section off one corner for a study area, with a desk and chair provided.

Elsewhere, there are a few couches and chairs, most seated around a coffee table and with throw blankets tossed over them if you need the extra warmth. On the table is a bowl of healthy and semi-healthy snacks, regularly stocked. (Nearby is a garbage can.)

This week, there is a welcome basket near the bowl.

Past an entrance in the common room, a mini coffeehouse has been set up, with express machines for those who just want their coffee now and slightly more advanced equipment for aficionados. It offers a variety of strength levels and flavors to accommodate tastes all across the spectrum, along with a teapot and packets of caffeinated and non-caffeinated tea for those who prefer a different drink. There's a sink if you want to use your own mug, but otherwise, disposable cups are provided for you to use.

A gladiator uses every part of his body in combat. The sword's like an extension of my arm, but I know how to wield other weapons.

I'm not doing anything until we know what it is. [war isn't really a good thing, but he also wants to understand what they're getting into.] But you saw the letter, didn't you?

It sounds too troublesome. It's one thing if it's important, but I'm not interested in doing anything that I don't have to.

And if it turns out we have to, kind of like we have to go to class? [he's not fond of the idea either, and he actually is more likely to agree with sieghart, but he would like to know his stance on stuff anyway.]

Hm . . . If it's a duel, I wouldn't be opposed.

...we'll find out Monday, probably.

[ercnerd]

[He sighs.]

Monday can't come fast enough. If nothing happens tomorrow, I'm just going to sleep until I can't anymore.

Just as long as you don't sleep through Monday. Who knows? Maybe we'll get class schedules tomorrow or something.

Nobody came down flailing and screaming in your suite?

I don't know. I didn't stay there long enough to see everybody else when we first woke up.
