common room.

In the common room, the walls have been painted with photo-like pictures of forests and lakes, and spread across the ceiling is a depiction of the night sky. One wall is lined with bookcases, the books ranging from fiction to non-fiction as well used course textbooks. More bookcases have been used to section off one corner for a study area, with a desk and chair provided.

Elsewhere, there are a few couches and chairs, most seated around a coffee table and with throw blankets tossed over them if you need the extra warmth. On the table is a bowl of healthy and semi-healthy snacks, regularly stocked. (Nearby is a garbage can.)

This week, there is a welcome basket near the bowl.

specialty room.

Past an entrance in the common room, a mini coffeehouse has been set up, with express machines for those who just want their coffee now and slightly more advanced equipment for aficionados. It offers a variety of strength levels and flavors to accommodate tastes all across the spectrum, along with a teapot and packets of caffeinated and non-caffeinated tea for those who prefer a different drink. There's a sink if you want to use your own mug, but otherwise, disposable cups are provided for you to use.

[He sort of half-shrugs. Most of what he's heard has already been discussed, but ... ]

Just what I've heard through someone else, but she seemed clear that the Dorm Heads and the Bear didn't play a part in it. Don't know how much I believe that either. Suppose it's out there with a grain of salt.

It's something to consider, sure. [though that would also clarify a few things.] If that's true, then...doesn't that mean there's something else controlling what's going on around here? With the doors and forcing us all to come back and fall asleep and stuff.

S'what I said. Bit hard to prove, of course. Easy enough to go well there's something bigger to almost everything. Though it makes sense with their apparent lack of understanding anything that goes on here.

Yeah. It's one thing to play dumb, but when it's all of them...it's a little harder to decide what the truth is. But being hard to prove doesn't mean it's totally impossible, does it?
