SUMMER COMMON ROOM - WEEK 0

The common room is as bright and open as the rest of the dorm. Beanbag chairs and even more hammocks are situated around for any of your resting needs, because who needs couches? There are a few blankets on the couch just for comfort, but the temperature is never cold enough to need them because of chill. There's also an absurd amount of pillows.

The walls are decorated with paintings that are either modern art pieces or done by kindergarteners. There are also photographs tacked onto the walls as well, of seemingly random things like a vase of flowers, a mailbox, a bird on a tree branch. The photos are less about grand views and feels more like someone testing out a camera.

On a table is a welcome basket.

In the common room, there's a door that leads to what can only be described as an Occult Room for some strange reason. Unlike the rest of the dorm, this room is dimly lit and is crowded with items—a skeleton that may or may not be real, taxidermy animals, really creepy looking dolls, an actual coffin, etc. On a table to the side is a Ouija board, a few tarot decks, and crystal ball.

[catgirl looks scrawny, but she's got some muscle on her! she carries Nier's sword with little difficulty. and, with a loud battle cry, attempts to use it to slice the door in two]

... I didn't think the door would be that sturdy.

[ This is frustrating. He gives the door a heavy kick and it's... Unfortunately, just loud noise. ]

Maybe we need more force and weight.

[ They should all tackle the door together. ]

[she draws back when the sword doesn't work, shoulders heaving, before she offers the weapon back to Nier]

If my claws and this sword didn't work, then the only other thing I can think of that might is some kind of explosive. Or a laser.

[ Though useless, he gives the door another kick just to feel better (he doesn't feel better). Catra's words don't help, either. ]

And we have neither of those.

[ Open palm. Give him back his sword. ]

[places the hilt back into his palm and then folds her arms, tail still lashing angrily]

Great. Just great. I hope everyone who thought this place was safe is regretting their lives right now.

[ They're also stuck here?? Catra? Thanks for the sword. He makes sure to put it back in a safe place. ]

How many of us will be able to sleep tonight like this? Should we take shifts?

I don't plan on sleeping at all. I'm going to watch the doors, and Mango is going to watch the windows.

[wait. who is Mango??]

We should take shifts for guard duty, though. Any and everyone willing needs to be on alert for the first sign of danger.

[amain]

[ Nier doesn't ask who's Mango because that isn't important. (hello, it is?) A nod since he agrees on guard duty. ]

I admire your commitment, but you should get some rest, too. If we have to fight something, it'd be better if we all have some hours of rest.

I'll be fine. I've pulled plenty of all-nighters before.
