The common room is as bright and open as the rest of the dorm. Beanbag chairs and even more hammocks are situated around for any of your resting needs, because who needs couches? There are a few blankets on the couch just for comfort, but the temperature is never cold enough to need them because of chill. There's also an absurd amount of pillows.

The walls are decorated with paintings that are either modern art pieces or done by kindergarteners. There are also photographs tacked onto the walls as well, of seemingly random things like a vase of flowers, a mailbox, a bird on a tree branch. The photos are less about grand views and feels more like someone testing out a camera.

On a table is a welcome basket.

In the common room, there's a door that leads to what can only be described as an Occult Room for some strange reason. Unlike the rest of the dorm, this room is dimly lit and is crowded with items—a skeleton that may or may not be real, taxidermy animals, really creepy looking dolls, an actual coffin, etc. On a table to the side is a Ouija board, a few tarot decks, and crystal ball.

I tried contacting Adora and Sally.

[obviously she did. obviously!]

The messages wouldn't go through, no matter how many I sent.

That's a bad sign.

... Adora is another student, so I want to say she'll be all right.

can't say for sally when the noise and the wail came from the top floor ]

But none of us know for sure.

[said with a tiny little hiss. she's being fussy because she's worried]

I remember her profile listing impressive skills.

[ Let's forget the not impressive ones. ]

Until we break out, we need to trust others to be safe.

[ HOPE!! ALSO CAUSE THEY'RE HELPLESS!!!! ]

[. . . it's true. Adora is so hyper-competent it's ridiculous. not to mention she managed to survive Catra's many, many. . . many. . . attempts on her life. she should have a little bit of faith]

[but--]

[it's hard not to worry, when she and Adora were literally just reunited before coming here]

[she breathes out, ears drooping a bit]

You're right. If anyone tried to hurt her, she'd just kick their butts. She's way tougher than anything this stupid principal or these dorm heads could throw at her.

[ He offers her a smile, glad that even a smidgen of her worries are smoothed out. ]

I haven't talked to her myself, but she sounds very capable from what you're saying... Almost to the point where maybe she'll come save us instead?

[ Cause, yeah, look at that adora lovemail catra is spewing. ]

[IT'S NOT LOVEMAIL!! (it's lovemail)]

[but that comment draws a snort-laugh from Catra, the sound almost mocking]

Yeah, probably. [ugh. Adora and her hero complex!!] But she does enough of the "saving people" thing already. For once I'd like it if she let someone else drag her out of trouble.

["someone" catra. she means herself]

[ IT'S LOVEMAIL. Nier finds how Catra talks about Adora very endearing... The worry and fondness is so obvious, but he's going to stay quiet. ]

I'm sure you'll get your chance.

[ who are you trying to fool ]

[affixes him with a flat stare. sir!! sir!!!!]

[ what!! why are you looking at him like that!! He tilts his head. ]

Would you give those bragging rights to a stranger instead?

[ to save a hero, to save your girl, etc. ]

Ugh. Of course not.

[but she sounds a bit exasperated]

You don't sound that ecstatic.

[ Then again, saving someone is hard work. ]
