The common room is as bright and open as the rest of the dorm. Beanbag chairs and even more hammocks are situated around for any of your resting needs, because who needs couches? There are a few blankets on the couch just for comfort, but the temperature is never cold enough to need them because of chill. There's also an absurd amount of pillows.

The walls are decorated with paintings that are either modern art pieces or done by kindergarteners. There are also photographs tacked onto the walls as well, of seemingly random things like a vase of flowers, a mailbox, a bird on a tree branch. The photos are less about grand views and feels more like someone testing out a camera.

On a table is a welcome basket.

In the common room, there's a door that leads to what can only be described as an Occult Room for some strange reason. Unlike the rest of the dorm, this room is dimly lit and is crowded with items—a skeleton that may or may not be real, taxidermy animals, really creepy looking dolls, an actual coffin, etc. On a table to the side is a Ouija board, a few tarot decks, and crystal ball.

Aren't manuals meant to help you?

[ Nier is the type to read the manuals and if it doesn't make sense, then he'll try it out. However, he nods because this all makes sense. ]

... I guess that's why humans from where I'm from are where they are. Our ancestors didn't like manuals.

[wtfox]

Well, yeah, but a lot of the things people make are supposed to make our lives easier, so I guess it's just, like, we think how to use it ought to be obvious even without a manual...? Otherwise, what's the point?

[amain]

I thought that, too, but...

[ HE SHRUGS. HE JUST DOESN'T KNOW. ]

You can keep talking about Paris.

[wtfox]

Oh, okay! Well, it's a really old city, so there's a lot of historical buildings. The architecture's nice! I kind of prefer the architecture in Rome, though, but that's where I was born, so I guess I have a bias.

[amain]

Nothing wrong with having favorites. They must be beautiful.

[ Nodding. ]

But you're living in Paris now... is it close to Rome?

[wtfox]

Well, not exactly... Paris is in France, and Rome is in Italy. But my mom works for the Italian embassy and she's stationed in Paris, so we live there now.

[amain]

Oh, so they're different countries... I've always wanted to travel, but I've only gone to other villages near mine.

[wtfox]

...and I guess you've gone here, now, too! Although I don't know where "here" is.

[amain]

[ He laughs a bit because she's right. ]

Wherever "here" is, it could be worse. I'm sure we'll learn more about this place later.

[wtfox]

I hope so! And I hope it's sooner rather than later... I don't really like waiting.

[amain]

[ He nods because he's the same... Impatient. ]

What do people do at school when they wait, anyway?

[wtfox]

Classwork, usually... or they get a head start on their homework so they don't have to do it at home?

[amain]

... We don't have any of that.

[ do they want to do early homework though ]

[wtfox]

Yeah... so I'm not really sure what we should be doing now other than waiting. But that doesn't seem like enough.

Maybe we should go explore?

[amain]

[ He perks up. ]

There's no one to stop us.

[wtfox]

[she beams and shifts to get off of the hammock]

Then, let's go!

[amain]

All right.

[ Summer people just going we need to GET OUT THERE, but wait a minute. ]

I forgot to mention, but my name's Nier. It's nice to meet you.

[wtfox]

Oh, oops! I forgot too!

[they're just so ready to EXPLORE!!]

I'm Lila. It's nice to meet you too, Nier!

[amain]

A lot is happening.

[ Bound to forget. ]

Lila. Well, I’m relying on you to watch my back.

[wtfox]

And I'm relying on you to watch mine! Come on, let's go!

[ And so they go off to explore. World should fear them as I run at you for a pc now. ]
