Part of life is dealing with things that you don't care for. Not to mention, responsibility rarely goes hand in hand with happiness.

So how much responsibility have you had that you didn't care for?

It doesn't matter. I agreed to them, and I don't regret my decisions.

It sort of matters. Even if you don't regret it and even if you agreed to it, it doesn't change the fact that it happened.

I would rather have what I have than none at all. It's not some kind of burden detrimental to my life.

...you're probably not going to think it's true, but things are easier with friends. I don't think I could have accepted my responsibilities every time without mine. And I definitely wouldn't have always remembered my priorities without them.

[god he's not the child of friendship why the hell is he doing this. probably because he kind of understands in a roundabout way. or at least he thinks he does.]

Shouldn't that be up to other people to decide? You can't force people to not care about things.
