the third floor is like a studio apartment. there's a door to the side that leads to a bathroom, and there's also a small kitchenette. tucked in the corner is a desk, and on top of it are a laptop, various school books, and other things meant for studying. settled against a window is a bed, but it looks relatively unused. there's also an armchair near it, and with the way it's slowly rocking to a stop, it's obvious that's where she was seated.
but, mostly, there's a lot of tea. the desk, kitchenette, and even the floor, has tea mugs. it's the only thing that's not neat about it. ]
[ So Sally has her own kitchenette in her floor, i'm crying. Nier thinks it's neat! As many, if not all rooms and buildings on campus, are ones he has never seen before. Not even in likeness. However, the tea mugs. Nier squints before picking some off the floor. Actually, he will pick up all of the ones on his path in. It reminds him of when he had to teach his sister how to clean up after she's done playing.
[ ARE YOU TELLING ME SOME OF THESE STILL HAVE TEA IN THEM ]
It's all right, though I would consider finishing and reusing a cup. [ Maybe? Anyway, he takes a seat somewhere... With less mugs. ] We can start with this: how are you feeling lately?
It depends on what you're into! It's popular to like, go to meals and get to know each other. Or watch films... I'm sure that anime night would be a popular date spot.
[ she says that, but her tone is so bland that she obviously does not think anime is a good date spot. ]
Or doing things that you can make a good memory with. Like... doing something exciting together.
[ Nier is like... Not sure how those things would make it any special only because restaurants don't exist anymore in his world. He also doesn't know anime, so his expression is the same. damn they are like anti-weebs (for now). ]
A date should be special, so that does sound good. Gone on any exciting dates before?
[ Nier is still concerned, but he’s also polite and considerate enough to take her word for it. It’s not something he’ll forget, though. A memory of his (to 7:38) plays after. ]
[ Sally?? Why are you whispering when he's right here. He chuckles a bit to try to... Make things not so awkward? ]
It's all right. It wasn't anything I was hiding, anyway.
[ But his explanations of it to others, through his own words, never included the desperation to save when all you've done is destroy. The guilt that everyone who loved you died for you. The unwillingness to lose another loved one. And the weariness... Of living. ]

We can meet up. Thank you again.

would you like to come up to my room?
no subject
[ He obviously will knock first before peeking in? If it's even open. ]

Okay! Come in.

But Sally is an adult. ]
Did I catch you on some study crunch?
[ All mugs onto the kitchenette now. ]
no subject
Sorry about the mess. I just like to make tea.
[ has she drank any of it? no, but that's not important. ]
You can sit wherever.

Oh, I'm okay, I guess. Besides how weird this week has been so far...
[ she frowns. ]
no subject
That's good to hear... This week really has some of us going through things.
no subject
but she nods her head. ]
I'm sure a few people are just going to be hermits if it keeps going on.
no subject
It is extremely tempting. [ let them all die ] But there is the task, so we still need to interact.
no subject
[ with kainé..... perhaps? ]
no subject
[ He's a fake olde. ]

I have! Like--
[ she closes her mouth. ]
Well, most of them aren't really that great of a memory now.
no subject
... Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. How come?
no subject
[ but, before she can really say much else, a memory starts (stop at 16:55).
when the memory stops, she's just kind of... staring in surprise. ]
no subject
Sally, you're...
[ Dead? ]
no subject
[ there's a nervous laugh, and she just moves to sit down on the armchair. ]
Ignore that. It's-- that was weird.
no subject
[ Nier is still concerned, but he’s also polite and considerate enough to take her word for it. It’s not something he’ll forget, though. A memory of his (to 7:38) plays after. ]
All of this is weird.
no subject
so sally just stares for a few seconds and then whispers, ]
Oh my god.

[ it to just get broadcasted like that, completely unprompted.
the second lacks a sense of agency about your own past. ]
no subject
[ Nier has had enough of a breakdown yesterday over memshare, so he's tired. ]
At least, for now, we'll have a break from it and hopefully it won't happen again as we chat.
