I have a few family obligations that make the understanding of politics important for me to - stay afloat, I suppose you could say. I think I've mentioned that I'm from the capitol which is a beautiful place, but it can get a bit nasty the higher up you go.
My more personal interest is seeking to redistribute power from those who have it and squander it, to those who don't. Or to create avenues for those without to gain it for themselves. I'm interested in a great number of things but I believe that is the most succinct way to explain it...
Maybe when we sit down and speak face to face, it will be easier for me to share more about myself. But for now, suffice to say I spent a lot of my youth in the capitol of my own country, and I know a little of the sorts of people you mean. I have a few aspirations of my own to become more involved in political matters.
Oh, of course, I understand. The messaging back and forth really feels so impersonal, doesn't it? But that sounds excellent! May your eventual political journey be successful and satisfying.
Well, we're all looking forward to the light at the end of the tunnel for our schedules - we're thinking sometime next week we'll be able to see all of you! We truly appreciate all your patience until then.
Well, maybe you aren't but I'm sure the Dorm Heads are just as tired of not being able to see all of you as I am. We spent a while preparing for your welcome, but now we don't even get a chance to enjoy it with all of you... It's rather frustrating.
Well, it's a rather large place but of course it's known as this country.
Oh, I don't find any questions silly. Feel free to ask all you like. That's correct - I arrived early to prepare as a Dorm Head, but it was still technically summer break.
Oh, certainly. The usual pleasantries and catching up on things that we've missed in each other's lives. Is there a reason for this line of questioning?
Oh, I see. Yes, it's possible to stay on campus through breaks - you can take classes then too. However I normally leave campus even if only for a bit.
That's good. No good staying in one place too long.
I hope I haven't wasted your time asking you only questions about yourself. I was a little curious about all four of you, but I feel a bit strange asking a teenager personal questions.
Oh, I don't consider it a waste - only that it feels a bit rude of me to not be asking you anything in turn. But I'll try to wait until we meet properly if that's more comfortable for you.
Well, given that I am not a teenager, you may ask me what you like and I'll let you know if it is too invasive. But Luke would like to get to know you too, I'm sure. He's very earnest about this as well - it's quite endearing.
We're familiar if only for how much time we've spent together lately - but we met just a little while ago when we arrived to prepare the Dorms. Our paths didn't cross before then.
My impression is he's a pretty good kid. He always seems to be concerned with others. Our welcome letter mentioning being kind to the other dorms, and in the conversations he had with everyone when we first met you. It makes me a little concerned if he's taking on so much work and doesn't even go home for breaks.
But I sound like an old man saying these things, don't you think? I have no idea how to speak to teenagers. I will give it a try, but. . .
Old man? You're too hard on yourself. I think you sound like a kind, concerned person! I think that Luke's trying very hard to figure himself out, too... But he does have a lot of wisdom that even I didn't have at that age! I'm almost envious.
Still, I think the fact that you're looking out for him is very sweet - he may be awkward at first, but I'm sure it'll mean a lot to him. That's just how teenagers are. I don't want to ask you to look after him when I'm sure he wants to be a good Dorm Head - but maybe you can look after each other.

Your family is involved in politics, then?

But that's correct. They have been for some time, so I have a few expectations I need to fulfill if only for the sake of tradition.

Does this capitol city of yours have a name?

But that sounds excellent! May your eventual political journey be successful and satisfying.
Oh, it's naturally the capitol.

Is it the capitol of the country this school is in?

Yes, that's correct.

Interesting to hear. How long have you been attending this school?

Well, you're right that work is important.
I've been enrolled for the past two years.
