[He understands that. There's a lot happening, but that doesn't change that they have things to accomplish. There's a little edge of wistful nervousness to him too, but he doesn't acknowledge it.]
. . . Did you know what happened to Adora could happen?
Like... [ she bites a nail. ] Think of the different versions of compulsions here. The way that I and the other Dorm Heads were changed was completely drastic, down to backstories. So, what's the difference between that and what we know is happening.
Well, we know there have been some people who have been compelled by a lie, something they believe up until the end of trial. That hasn't seemed to be the case with Rupert, Otome, and Byleth.
Right. So, I guess one question is just... what's the difference? Why compel someone to murder and believe something until the end of trial, and then whatever is happening with that group. Is it the same thing that's causing both? Was Sieghart's killer affected by something different than what they're dealing with?
I have wondered whether . . . the compulsion we're describing is something like what we talked about, the script. Or whatever wants us following the script.
Whereas what is happening with that group is trying to avoid kills that are following the compulsion?

[ she nods her head. her emotions are generally even, but it's a leveled anxiousness and grief. sometimes you just gotta still work. ]
What did you want to talk about?

[There's a little flicker of doubt there, too, but he doesn't press it.]
She wanted to risk it, to help. So I suppose we must take her words seriously.

I also wonder why the compulsion for the other kinds just drop at the end of trial.

[ she rubs at her face. ugh. there's frustration. ]
You'd think everything else is dramatic enough already...

It was a script cover with more red writing, saying 'don't you want to stay forever' and then on the back it says 'finish the story.'

I guess we were supposed to leave at the end of summer, according to... what we knew before...
