GRAVEYARD

It's a little hard to wake up when the melody that drifts into your ears is so comforting that it'd be so much simpler to stay asleep. Maybe everything that you remember last - the cold seeping into your fingertips, the pain of injury, or the darkness creeping into your vision - will just be parts of a bad dream.
But it's not.
When you wake up, it's probably a little disorienting - you have to push off a blanket and rise from this nice comfortable mat on the floor. Seems like you were all curled up for nap time. Literally. The room that you're in has furniture meant for small humans, children as some might call them, and everything is soft and plush to the touch with rounded corners. Blocks with the alphabet etched onto them, coloring books and crayons, and even a rocking horse dot the room to really give it that childish charm. If you can think of a child-safe toy, it's probably in one of the baskets that line the shelves of the room!
Around the room they'll find baby monitors that broadcast the antics of the living. Hopefully that doesn't feel creepy.
There is a yard outside through the glass doors, but it currently seems to be locked - and the glass won't break no matter how hard you try. There's a large pink door that feels enormous, ten times as tall as you, on one side of the room, but there's no way through that either. At the very top, you might see a directory sign that says: TO ADMINISTRATION BUILDING.
Huh.
Well... for now, get comfortable. It looks like you might be here a while.

So.
You’ve, uh. Changed?
no subject
But he does look up, but not before he clips on a strange mask to his face. He looks questioningly at Crow. ]
What's that supposed to mean?
no subject
Doooooes it matter if you don’t remember either way?
no subject
[ But he turns around, and sticks a hand out at him. ]
Aikawa, nice to meetcha.
no subject
[ … is this his head? welcome to caiman’s actual head and caiman’s actual head only ]
Crow. Nice to meet you too, although the circumstances kinda suck.
no subject
Yeah, no kidding. Not a whole lot of space to move around here, what are there, like, two rooms? Three?
no subject
At least there's a nap room? I think?
[ he still needs to look around. ]
Could get kinda cramped if people keep showing up here.
no subject
Jeez, I hope not.
[ There's a lot of genuineness there, at least by his standards. Everything else sounded at least somewhat careful, and well, masked, but this one seems simply and plainly honest. ]
no subject
… [ he snorts. ] Yeah. I love being crammed into tiny rooms with like 15 other people.
no subject
You see me, I'm a big guy. Needs all the space we can get!
no subject
Yeah, there’s a few of us who are above average height wise.
no subject
Hmm, well dunno what average height for you guys is, my best friend's about my height too. [ 'Cause they're freaks, god. ] Those baby mats are no good. Nope, nada. Need something way better.
no subject
I'm... pretty tall I guess? But not as tall as you, obviously. So...
[ a shrug. ] Maybe I have it a little easier.
no subject
None of us got it easy! Except maybe like. The one girl here.
[ RIP LILA. ]
no subject
Yeah, someone didn't think it through when they starting going after all the tall people.
no subject
Sucks. Not just for us but for Lila too since we're taking up all her space. [ Though lbr that's very funny. ]
no subject
I mean. She's little. She can find a corner somewhere, probably.
