It's a little hard to wake up when the melody that drifts into your ears is so comforting that it'd be so much simpler to stay asleep. Maybe everything that you remember last - the cold seeping into your fingertips, the pain of injury, or the darkness creeping into your vision - will just be parts of a bad dream.

But it's not.

When you wake up, it's probably a little disorienting - you have to push off a blanket and rise from this nice comfortable mat on the floor. Seems like you were all curled up for nap time. Literally. The room that you're in has furniture meant for small humans, children as some might call them, and everything is soft and plush to the touch with rounded corners. Blocks with the alphabet etched onto them, coloring books and crayons, and even a rocking horse dot the room to really give it that childish charm. If you can think of a child-safe toy, it's probably in one of the baskets that line the shelves of the room!

Around the room they'll find baby monitors that broadcast the antics of the living. Hopefully that doesn't feel creepy.

There is a yard outside through the glass doors, but it currently seems to be locked - and the glass won't break no matter how hard you try. There's a large pink door that feels enormous, ten times as tall as you, on one side of the room, but there's no way through that either. At the very top, you might see a directory sign that says: TO ADMINISTRATION BUILDING.

Huh.

Well... for now, get comfortable. It looks like you might be here a while.

That's how you'd go about cursin' people.

Mostly we say Northern Wizards do offensive magic, Eastern delicate magic, Southern protective, West transformative, and Centrals are the all rounders. But we can do other magic besides what we're aligned to.

What the hell is 'delicate magic'?

Cursework, or moving a lot of little things around at the same time.

[these are two VASTLY different things, but for some reason they're under the same umbrella.]

...? Those don't sound anything alike!

[ Yeah he's going to lampshade this. ]

It's manipulating luck and manipulating lots of little things.

[It's all manipulation? Maybe?

Huh! You mean the 'moving around' literally or figuratively?

Magic in my world's usually one of three parts.

Transformative stuff, so turning something into another state.
Creation or destruction stuff, which probably, you get what that is.
And the most rare one is 'curse' type.

[ But also, jazzhands. ] Or something like that, I dunno, didn't pay attention much.

[battling]

Transformation- like bein' a cat for a while. Like Polymorph.

[He's squinting. He can't read the mask, but does he flinch, is there anything? Some kind of... anything at all?]

Any wizard can do any of that back home. It just depends on what they wanna focus in on.

[ He doesn't, only that eternal mask stare that seems curious. ]

Magic's something you're just born with, over at my place. You can't learn your magic though maybe you can try to change up what the original is. Transformative stuff means a wide range here, like turning into a cat, or even reversing death itself, heard that's a pretty rare one.

[battling]

You're born with magic back home. Can't go from human to wizard, for example.

Magic can't reverse death. But if you're strong enough you can tie a soul down before it departs.

[headsplitter]

Hey, my world neither. You're either born with the organs to make smoke, or you're not.

[ An odd silent pause after that. But he just tips his head a little, right after. Don't ghost talk me Bradley. ]

What, can't tie it back, uh, into the body?

[battling]

Organs?

[Shakes his head.]

The body turns into a mana stone. Can tie the deceased into your own soul.

[headsplitter]

A heckin' what now.

[battling]

Mana stone.

Wizard bodies turn into stones when we die.

[ A long pause.

Okay! Weird but it makes burying easier probably.

[battling]

It would.

[Who buries a wizard?

Besides, apparently, Fall Dorm.]

Hey, d'ya know Luke? You should call him.

[ FALL DORM WAS SAD ABOUT YOU OKAY BRADLEY.

But at the mention of Luke, Aikawa seems to just stare at Bradley for a little moment.

Then he shrugs. ]

Nah, dunno any guy named Luke...

[ HE'S NOT GOING TO EAT YOUR DAMN ROCK HARD BODY BRADLEY YOU'RE MARRIED.

Aikawa just shakes his head and shrugs. ]

What's a dorm got to do with it?

[battling]

It was the Dorm you were in when you were alive.

[Squints.]

Y'know you're dead, right? Or whatever counts around here.

[headsplitter]

'Course I know I'm dead. But I wasn't in any dorm, I lived off-campus. What, everyone else here live in Fall Dorm or something?

[battling]

[Narrows his eyes.]

What killed ya?

We can't get off of campus here.

[headsplitter]

I drowned. Super embarrassing way to die but turns out I just sink like a rock.

[battling]

[Then WHO'S HEAD DID HE WATCH GET CHOMPED BY A DINOSAUR.]

... You drowned.

[headsplitter]

[ Mira screaming confusedly is what gives me life. ]

Yeah! That's what I said, you're not hard of hearing are ya?
