SUMMER COMMON ROOM - WEEK 4

The common room is as bright and open as the rest of the dorm. Beanbag chairs and even more hammocks are situated around for any of your resting needs, because who needs couches? There are a few blankets on the couch just for comfort, but the temperature is never cold enough to need them because of chill. There's also an absurd amount of pillows.

The walls are decorated with paintings that are either modern art pieces or done by kindergarteners. There are also photographs tacked onto the walls as well, of seemingly random things like a vase of flowers, a mailbox, a bird on a tree branch. The photos are less about grand views and feels more like someone testing out a camera.

On a table is a welcome basket.

In the common room, there's a door that leads to what can only be described as an Occult Room for some strange reason. Unlike the rest of the dorm, this room is dimly lit and is crowded with items—a skeleton that may or may not be real, taxidermy animals, really creepy looking dolls, an actual coffin, etc. On a table to the side is a Ouija board, a few tarot decks, and crystal ball.

[Mandricardo is honestly Very Done with everything concerning his life and Roland's long dead, but...]

... I don't know, but his cousin Astolfo saved us from him.

[ NIER DISLIKES ROLAND. ]

Astolfo didn't seem too bad.

Astolfo? [Oh. Hm.] Never met the guy, but he had a lot of adventures, I think. Big name in Charlemagne's Army.

[Mandricardo does not like Charlemagne all that much so even Astolfo is just. Mild Discontent.]

[ He looks at Mandricardo and the vibe is very thinky. That thinky is Astolfo might actually be good for Mandy? Personality-wise? Except army of Charlemagne doesn't sound good for Mandricardo, so he lets that go. ]

If it weren't for him, I might have died, I think.

Since you know these people, is the trip related to your world? Maybe your memories?

...I mean, Roland by itself is already a big deal. Who else did you meet? Ruggiero? Bradamante? Marfisa? [A beat.] Charlemagne?

[He's just listing off names from the top of his head.]

Well, regardless...those two being there...maybe its from my world. Specifically, my legend. Him being naked...yeah. Definitely part of it.

We didn't get to meet Charlemagne, but there were these... Astolfo called one a Saint? And a flaming chariot.

We went to the moon.

[ IS THAT.

A THING FOR YOU, MANDRICARDO? ]

...Saint like from the Bible?

[me laughing oocly]

I read the legend from the library and it did say that Astolfo went to the moon with a flaming chariot from St. John and Elijah...but I never went through that, personally?

I-I had my own adventures, but no, I didn't.

... These trips go beyond our own memories then since I thought the last one a group went to was Riku's.

Roland seemed fine when we gave him back his wits, but I don't want to see him ever.

That's...kind of scary, honestly? Though it looks like it just took from the overall legend...guess my memories aren't that great....

[ Despite how Nier did not get a nice one, he still thinks that. ]

I didn't stick around to get to know him. None of us did.

I'm glad you came out of that alive, though. When he went insane...he was practically impossible to stop.

I mean, I guess it depends on the kind of person you are...but I can't see why it couldn't do something like that.

That's true...but....when you're in love, it can move you to do some pretty crazy things. Its potent like that.
