SUMMER COMMON ROOM - WEEK 4

The common room is as bright and open as the rest of the dorm. Beanbag chairs and even more hammocks are situated around for any of your resting needs, because who needs couches? There are a few blankets on the couch just for comfort, but the temperature is never cold enough to need them because of chill. There's also an absurd amount of pillows.

The walls are decorated with paintings that are either modern art pieces or done by kindergarteners. There are also photographs tacked onto the walls as well, of seemingly random things like a vase of flowers, a mailbox, a bird on a tree branch. The photos are less about grand views and feels more like someone testing out a camera.

On a table is a welcome basket.

In the common room, there's a door that leads to what can only be described as an Occult Room for some strange reason. Unlike the rest of the dorm, this room is dimly lit and is crowded with items—a skeleton that may or may not be real, taxidermy animals, really creepy looking dolls, an actual coffin, etc. On a table to the side is a Ouija board, a few tarot decks, and crystal ball.

[ oh. oh, otome. otome, sweetie, i'm so sorry. if mabel were capable of feeling sad right now, she would, for leaving her behind. but. as it stands, there's just a pang of guilt that mixes in with the anger. Still, for her, she softens. ]

I shouldn't be staying in someone else's dorm. Sorry.

[ What is even happening-- she's so bewildered and concerned?? ]

What do you mean "someone else's dorm"? This is your dorm, too.

... [ Wow the guilt. ]

I-- I'm sorry, if I wasn't there for you this week. But that doesn't mean I don't-- that we don't care about you.

[ ohhhh she can't handle this wave of guilt coming off otome. She pauses in her pillow-and-blanket collecting tirade and drops them so she can run over to Otome and give her a hug. ]

It wasn't you! You're perfect, and one of the nicest people here, and--I'd never leave you!

I just...can't be here anymore.

[ And she'll just hug back carefully and immediately.

She is most definitely not perfect but it seems a bad idea to argue with Mabel over it now. ]
